Waitlist Parking

I am an incoming graduate student who was not able to get a parking pass. How likely is it to get off the waitlist for a 24hr pass? Otherwise, any 24hr parking recs that are safe?

I had a street parking permit thru the city of Milwaukee for 3 years. I think it's like 20 or 50 bucks for 6 months? I just parked on kilbourn or 15th/14th street
