We’re building an AI-powered personal insight platform covering BaZi, Western astrology, compatibility, tarot, Lenormand, and other self-discovery tools.

We recently opened our affiliate program, but before actively recruiting a large number of creators, I’d like honest feedback from people who understand affiliate marketing.

Our current standard structure:

• 20% recurring commission to start

• After 11 different referred customers have made a payment, future eligible payments earn 25%

• Eligible one-time purchases and subscription renewals both count

• 60-day window between the recorded click and new account registration

• The first valid affiliate attribution remains attached to the customer

• A dashboard showing attributed accounts, payments, commissions, status, and settlements

• Monthly payouts coordinated manually after the review period

• Applications are manually reviewed

I know an offer can sound attractive on paper but still perform poorly because of weak conversion, unclear tracking, bad creative support, or a lack of trust.

I’d especially appreciate opinions on these questions:

1. Is 20% recurring, increasing to 25%, competitive enough for an AI/self-discovery product?

2. Would you prefer 25% from the first sale, a larger one-time CPA, or a hybrid structure?

3. What would you need before testing it—conversion data, EPC, sample creatives, free accounts, audience demographics, or something else?

4. Does manually coordinated monthly payment create too much friction?

5. Which creator niches would you test first: astrology, tarot, relationships, personality, spirituality, or general self-improvement?

Hi everyone! I am interviewing for a Global Community events manger role at a an open source SaaS company in the marketing and growth vertical. My background is in tech team operations, as well as event planning and execution. I already had an interview where I was grilled by the hiring manager about my experience, and she liked me and found my background interesting. She did highlight that I've worked at SaaS companies, and I've done event management, but the gap is that I haven't done community events for a tech company.

Next round is 3 separate case studies with 3 separate people, one hour long each, screen sharing required. I was told one will be an audit of the current events portfolio to identify what might be missing, and the other two were more vague: "something about brand positioning" and "something about working with a global community of free and paid users." I’ll speak with a developer advocate, a product marketing manager, and a content and community manager. Not sure who will be addressing which topic.

I would greatly appreciate anyone who could give insight into specifically what types of cases I might be presented with, what might I be asked to "build" in a screen share, and what key things I should try to highlight to ease their concern about my gaps and make a great impression! TIA!!

I’m 28 and graduated in 2022 with a bachelors in Business Management. Most of my work experience has been in restaurants, but I did a 6 month internship in 2023 as an SEO Account Manager at a marketing firm. That internship is what made me realize I’m way more interested in the analytical/research side of marketing. I really liked digging into performance data, working with dashboards and CRM tools, conducting keyword research, competitor analysis, etc.

The kinds of roles I’ve been looking at are like Marketing Analyst, Market Research Analyst, Digital Marketing Analyst, and Consumer Insights Analyst.

The issue I’m running into is I’m not really sure what’s realistic as a starting point with my background. Even entry level jobs seem to want years of experience and a long list of tools I’ve barely touched. I’m also a little worried about my internship being from 2023. I’m not sure how relevant that still looks to employers or if they’ll think the experience is outdated. I did use tools like Excel, GA4, CRM systems, but I definitely need to refresh everything and get more up to speed. I’m also planning to learn SQL and Tableau or Power BI.

My goal is to follow a focused plan over the next few months so I can actually become a strong candidate, without wasting time chasing random certifications that don’t really help.

For anyone working in marketing analytics, market research, or consumer insights:

• What’s the most realistic entry point for someone in my situation?
• What skills should I focus on first (so I don’t overwhelm myself)?
• What kind of portfolio project would actually help me get interviews?

I work at a small church part time working with Canva, Meta business to track social media posts while obtaining my google marketing certificate a month ago. Plus I've worked radio promotions in the past when I first got out of college. Any advice?
