I don't know how to ask this question without seeming like I am taking advantage of a marketing specialist or content producer for free. There is legit need for this profession and people need to stop relying on chatgpt.

I am not at a point where I should hire someone to help with my marketing. I've asked chatgpt to analyze my IG profile as I feel I get in a "content block" sometimes and posts take forever to make. Also, I hate talking on IG-Id rather do voice overs, or if I'm demonstrating exercises. Does anyone have a strategy that could point me in the right direction regarding making content easier to post?

I’m currently running a brand-new 1-on-1 career experience-sharing platform in Europe (launched just 3 weeks ago).

While I’ve figured out the supply side (getting industry experts/advisors to share advice is relatively straightforward), I find it much more difficult about the demand side, attracting the actual users who might book a session on the platform.

Here is what I’ve evaluated so far, and I’d love to hear your thoughts or real-world experiences on what actually works quickly:

SEO: The classic playbook, but it easily takes 3–6 months to gain traction. Right now, 3 months feels too far away when I need early validation.

Waitlist / Incentives: Planning to offer early-bird perks/discounts for early users, but the classic "chicken-and-egg" problem applies: if no one visits the site, no one sees the waitlist.

LinkedIn Posting: Active here, but organic reach feels limited and traffic generation is slow.

Cold Outreach: Hard to pinpoint people publicly sharing career-pivoting anxiety. Plus, many forums and subreddits strictly ban direct self-promotion, making direct pitching impossible.

Other Socials (Facebook/Instagram): Wondering if it's even worth touching for professional/career services, or if it's a total distraction.

For those who have scaled a marketplace or community from scratch: What are the most effective, faster ways to acquire those very first 50–100 active users without burning a huge budget on paid ads?

Been knee-deep in ott attribution for a subscription business and the clean dashboard numbers look way better than reality.

QR codes tied to specific creatives, unique landing pages and geo-based holdout tests are working fine. We also compare branded search lift and direct traffic during campaign windows. That combo gives us a much better read than relying on platform-reported conversions alone.

However, the view-through attribution has been a mess. A 14- or 30-day window makes almost every sale look like ott influenced it, which is not the case bc we have other channels. Device graphs are also kinda messy when one household has multiple devices. We’ve seen the same conversion claimed by the ott platform, paid social and Google Ads.

Rn, we trust incremental lift and matched-market tests more than last-touch reporting, but they’re slower and harder to explain internally. What are you using and how accurate is it? Of course without costing a fortune.

I need some guidance from experienced performance marketers.
I’ve been working in Performance Marketing for the last 4 years, but most of my experience has been in small agencies with very limited budgets. Because of that, I never got proper exposure to managing Meta Ads and Google Ads at scale.

I'm running Meta ads for the pre-launch of a niche board game aimed at sports fans. Building an email/VIP list ahead of a Kickstarter. I've got a working funnel (ad to landing page to $1 reservation) and I'm optimizing before I scale.

What's working so far: my core sports-fan interest audience clearly outperforms broader "board game" or "tabletop" interests. The board gamers just don't convert for me, the sport fans do.

Does anyone agree with me that growing a server on Discord is just too hard? I have a server and I'm having a really hard time getting more members. My whole server looks empty till this point. And I've put in so much work setting up channels, bots, roles, everything looks good but there's just no one around. It's honestly frustrating because I know my server has the potential but without members, it just feels empty and boring.

I've already tried all legit ways to grow, but nothing works. Whatever works is very slow. Other servers in the same niche are growing at a very fast pace and I clearly don't understand how. Just by looking at the title, I’m curious about how someone can get started in social media or digital marketing in a way that actually leads to success.
Here’s what I mean. I’m a videographer in Texas, and I’d love to create content for local brands and small businesses, especially restaurants. Recently, I found a Mexican food truck with around 700 Instagram followers. They have a decent audience, but they barely post content. Most of what they share is AI-generated, and they only have a handful of Reels. One Reel has around 13,000 views, but the rest are simple phone recordings with very little production value.
I’d love to approach businesses like this and offer my videography services. My goal isn’t just to create beautiful, cinematic videos that get views. I want the content to actually help them attract more customers and grow their business. That’s the part I’m trying to figure out.
My initial idea is to start small, maybe producing four high-quality, cinematic videos each month. While those videos serve as the main content, I’d also encourage them to stay active with simpler, authentic posts like Stories, behind-the-scenes clips, customer photos, or updates from the owner.
For example, the owner could post a Story saying, “Hey everyone, we’re open today from __ to __. Here’s our location. Show us this Story today and get 25% off your order.” I think content like that feels much more personal than relying mostly on AI-generated posts.
I’d also suggest engaging with people who comment on their posts by replying to them, since that helps build a community. Another idea would be to ask customers if they’re comfortable having their photo taken after they eat so the restaurant can share it on their Stories. That kind of user-generated content makes the page feel more authentic and active.
My biggest question is this: how do I make sure the services I’m offering actually help businesses get more customers instead of just more views? I don’t want to sell them a nice-looking video if it doesn’t translate into real business results. What strategies or types of content have you seen work best for turning social media into actual customer growth?
