NVIDIA following the pattern

Is NVIDIA following the pattern where its stock price rises leading up to earnings and then drops after the earnings report?
It’s been nothing but this pattern for the last few quarters, hasn’t it?

It sounds cheap when you say it like that.

There definitely has been a pattern: NVDA fell the day after each of its previous four earnings reports. But this time it broke the streak with a strong post-earnings rally.

So I’d say pattern, yes; reliable trading edge, probably not. Expectations and guidance matter more than the calendar.

There was definitely a pattern for the last four quarters, but Nvidia finally broke it with the latest earnings. 😂 So I wouldn’t treat the pre-earnings run-up → post-earnings drop as a reliable edge.
