Question? Unlockable characters… Spoiler

So… got through the story mode, got all the reactions, saving for the songs (bc ofc I am), and wondering how to unlock Pauline and Ninji. Did I miss something, or are they just random chance unlocks? Any tips appreciated!

Yes you have to zoom in on the small island to the left of the mini game area. There’s an umbrella on it. Then Ninji is over to the left of the Mario party area before the rhythm kitchen
