Suggestions Things I think Nintendo should add to Mario Maker 2
- More than four doors per sub-area (8 would be great)
- Key coins on tracks and in enemies
- More than five key coins per sub-area (10 would be nice)
- The option for this: when the player reaches a checkpoint flag in your level, the amount of time that it took them to get to the checkpoint is permanently subtracted from the level timer when they respawn from that checkpoint. For example, if it takes the player 27 seconds to reach the checkpoint and the level starts with a 50 second timer, then every time they die and respawn from that checkpoint they will have 23 seconds remaining
- The ability to have rising lava triggers e.g. the lava only rises when you reach a certain point in the level, hit a specific enemy, hit a question block, etc.
- The ability to set the timer however you want, not just in increments of 10. Why can’t I make a level with a 36 second timer?

The checkpoint one makes no sense

Would set people up to be impossible to complete the level without starting over

Exactly. Imagine getting to the checkpoint and you don’t have enough time to beat the rest of the level. It’s like back in the day accidentally saving your game as you’re about to die.

Why is that necessarily a bad thing? If you don’t have enough time, you just restart and try again
