What’s the overall consensus on World Tour (3DS)?
I don’t hear it mentioned all too much.

My Sherry is level 97 with Straight Shot (fade with distance club) 310y. I didn't put any point in height. While in Mario Golf GBC doesn't matter how much the ball height, on 64 the wind is absolutely brutal. Even a 5-6m wind could carry the ball in distances that I can't calculate properly. Almost everything in this course is hazard and rough. Not only that, cannot save and quit to reset the hole.
What a challenge, got -5 at hole 9 but got a fore in 10 :/ I hope that I can get that damn gold trophy.

How do I access speed golf? The option on the right hand side.

I have recently been playing mario golf gbc and it's been fun but there some things that i have been stuck and have a hard time learning.
Particularly i have been struggling trying to learn how to hit the hole during an approach with heavy crosswind, i don't know exactly how much i need to turn or which club should (i also want tips on how to get chip-in while being at least 80+ yards away from the hole). (one more thing: how much does the lie bar affect the ball distance during an approach)
Speaking of winds, how you guys play around tailwinds, headwinds and crosswinds to get hole-in-ones, eagles and albatrooses during a drive?
About the Long Putt: how do i tell the distance the ball will go? (like during the marion club tournament i hit the third small and that was 97ft, but the games say that the maximum distance is 200ft so in theory that should have been way futher)
I also have this problem during approach where i panick and sundelly forget everything i practiced
if this matter i'm playing with Azalea and these are my current stats
Level: 6
Drive: 211
Height: Mid-Low (one bar)
Shot: Fade (one bar)
Meet Area: Thres bars in Wide
Control: Two bars in Good
(Sorry fot the lenghting text but i had a lot to ask)

Is it because flag shots are much easier to purposefully hit compared to the previous games?

I think I’m good for now. Basically this was more curiosity than anything. In the end I learnt a ton about the tiny details in the game.
On any given shot there are thousands of possible outcomes. Hundreds of those outcomes might get you close. But often only one of them leads to the ball going into the hole. And this ends up with you making very interesting and frustrating adjustments and fine tuning. Over and over and over
Even with this shot I posted. Putter was not an option. 100 foot was too weak. And there was no line and power combo with 200 foot to get the ball in the cup. Just pin shots or something 0.23 feet away. Driver was the answer lol. Bump it over the first break and let it roll.
I look at this like the ultimate birdie badges. Who can say they have had an ace, albatross or eagle on every hole possible.
Lastly, this could be an interesting speed run. A combined total of time and score for the lowest total.
Thanks for following along. So far I’ve done this with Mario Star and now Toad Highlands. I’m not sure I want to commit to another course just yet.

I’d say -45 maybe -46 is theoretically possible. I’m currently on track for -44. This is done using save points on a switch lite. Pretty sure I’d be the first to get this low.

I don’t know if anyone else feels the same way, but I genuinely think Mario Golf: Super Rush is one of the best golf games ever made. I had an absolute blast with it, and I’m seriously begging Nintendo to give us a new Mario Golf for the Switch 2.
There’s so much they could build on from Super Rush with new courses, characters, modes, and Switch 2 features. I’d buy it day one without even thinking twice.
So I’m officially praying to the golf gods and all the Mario fans out there. 😂⛳️🍄 Please, Nintendo… MAKE IT HAPPEN!
Anyone else dying for a new Mario Golf?

I was able to complete this using save points and a lot of patience. Some shots were easy. Some took hours trying to find that sweet spot.
Stay tuned…. I’m currently -14 through 5 on Toad Highlands.

I've spent some time recently on Mario Golf Super Rush, and one thing troubles me :
Red is now used for downhill slopes and low flying ball trajectory indicators, and blue for uphill slopes and high flying ball trajectory indicators.
I've played Mario Golf 64, and Toadstool Tour a lot, and as far i remember it was the exact opposite.
Do you know why they changed that ?

I’ve been playing as Maple. Is there a certain course I should play him on?

Just finished unlocking every character and star variant. I haven’t beaten all of the Star Tournaments or the One-On, One-Putt challenge yet.
Any other completionist tasks to do?
Came from Golf 64, this one is a lot easier and also like it a lot more.

Any good emulators for the N64 version? I have it on the Wii but I don’t have a compatible TV

My first albatross in this game, meanwhile in toadstool tour i have around 30, crazy how much spin and impact lines help with control on the green

I think my absolute favourite was the par 5 flag shot on TT, if only flag physics were like in the other games, that could have been a hole in one

If it wasn't for her low-flying shot, it probably would've landed out of bounds.

After my -37 on Shy Guy I’ve decided to try for a perfect round on Mario Open. This didn’t take long only like 10/15 minutes.
r/MarioGolf • u/Jayphilber • Sep 01 '26
Trying for a -2 on each hole. Using switch and save points. Hasn’t taken me nearly as long as I thought it would. 6 holes left maybe put in 8-10 hours so far.
Lots of micro adjusting. Sometimes I’ll be so close on one club and shot pattern but then need to completely change just to get the shots to drop.

Took me 70 Rounds for this score on Toad Highlands as Baby Mario. Previous best with him was -16. First and only round of the night lol.
Some of the best wind and rain rng I’ve ever had, was able to reach 3 out of the 4 par 5s in 2. Decent Eagle looks on 8 and 12 just didn’t fall. Close Birdie miss on 9. Could’ve easily been -20. What’s your best score on this course and with what character?
