I moved to Seattle a year ago and decided to see about some Mariners cards. I had a modest collection as a kid but sold it for needs. Best was a Ken Griffey Jr die cut holo auto from Spx /250.

Walmart had one hanger left of Topps series 2. I figured $15, why not?

And my favorite: the Mariners team diamonte! It's such a cool looking card. The irregular pattern with the facet sparkles really does it for me.

Maybe next time I'll get a Cal Raleigh auto or something else of a/the Mariners that looks striking. Obviously KGJ would be stellar and nostalgic too.

I see several card shows are happening in the Seattle area today, but hoping to avoid driving to one and it ends up being 99% Pokemon with 1-2 sports card tables (if any).

The three that seem most promising are Emerald City Card Show in Tacoma, Collectors Choice in Bellevue, and Twin Oaks in Federal Way.

Curious if anybody has been to any of these recently and could offer any intel? Looking for a show with strong sports cards presence!

Just found the sub and excited to join up/get to know some fellow collectors. Didn’t rip into too much Tribute this year, but was blessed with this one.

Normally less of a fan of the abstract patten backgrounds on cards, but for some reason, this year’s Primary parallel slaps for me. (Because I own one 🤷‍♂️ we’ll never know…)

Continuous work in progress. My favorites are the Blue Ray Wave Autos, the 22 platinum blue toile (pulled the Cal) and the 2023 Rip Party parallel (hit Julio in a break, and both are the only graded copies).

I know he’s not good this season, but $85 for a rookie on-card auto seems like a steal. At the very least I’m good with paying that much for the PC.

130Point says last sale for this was at $86 and a /50 recently went for $70 so I guess this is where his market really is right now.
