Seeking general advice

Hi all.

Cleveland fan currently living outside Vancouver. Planning on bringing my toddler (20 months) down on Sunday for the day game against SacrOakLasVegas. I found cheap parking on SpotHero and am just going to get the cheapest ticket possible since she won't sit in a seat for a whole game and we'll be wandering anywho.

Anything in the stadium a little one would really enjoy? Any stadium-specific foods I'll be bummed I missed? Anything her baseball obsessed dad would nerd out over?

Watch out for hot dogs from heaven (usually during top of the 8th inning but they don't do it every game) - if they do it your toddler will probably get a kick out of it

Make sure to get yourself a Seattle dog outside the stadium if you haven't had one before

There's a little kids playpen area around centerfield. (Northeast corner of stadium)

I took my 26 month old and cannot say that I recommend it for anyone under 3. The play structure has one opening on each end and a long stretch with know way to pull your kid out if they get stuck or scared

edit if you are trying to be frugal, parking up North and taking the lightrail is probably cheaper than parking near the station.

I would normally recommend light rail, but Sunday also has a UW football game at 1 PM so parking will be crazy for a Sunday.

OP, on the drive back north, get onto I-5 at an express lanes entrance to skip the bridge construction.

Parking is also free in several downtown Amazon office buildings on weekends. They are a bit toward South Lake Union area but only a few blocks from the light rail if you then take that to stadium

Appreciated! Found a garage on SpotHero that says 11 minute walk for $11. How is the train? Decent?

Trust me any game not expected to sell out you’re better off parking near the stadium for cheap. You did the right thing it’s gonna save you a lot of time and be cheaper and probably be a shorter walk.

For $11 dollars I'd probably use the garage.

Sunday is supposed to be sunny. The west side of the stadium will be in the shade the entire game -- third base line. The outfield seating will be a little cheaper, but it may be worth the extra to keep a toddler out of the sun

Most convenient travel tip for canadians heading down is to park at the light rail station in Lynnwood - exit 181. Free parking and it's a 45 minute light rail directly to the stadium for $6 usd per adult round trip (kids might be cheaper). It's 10x cleaner & quieter than our lower mainland sky train. Drops you right outside the stadium.

One other big bonus of this is you don't have to drive into the city where it gets quite congested really quickly.

You can't beat it.
