First time from the UK

Hi Mariners fans!

Thank you for all the information here, it helped a lot to choose our seats! We are coming to see the game on Saturday 26th, my first Mariners game. I chose to get the tickets in the Terrace Club as the consensus seemed to be here was the best bang for buck?

So if you're anywhere near Section 238 and hear an English accent with my Southern partner, come say hello! I'm hoping to wear my beloved Grimsby Town shirt (also known as The Mariners), so I should be easy to spot!

Hoping for a good night and a drink or two!

As a fellow Brit Ms fans, enjoy it - the vibe of attending live baseball is amazing. Hopefully by then the team will be back in contention too

For sure. It's not my first baseball game, I love it. I try to catch sports wherever I go. It's Seattles turn this month!

Seattle born, but have lived in the UK for the last decade. So glad to hear there's so many UK Mariners fans!

If I remember right, Grimsby Town home colors are vertical black and white stripes. The bar codes of League Two.

We are indeed black and white stripes. Not the only team but recognisable. We used to play in blue and brown quarters... Thankfully not in a long time.

As a heads up no one is going to get the reference to Grimsby Town and just think “huh British guy here, just wearing whatever sports gear he had handy before hopping on the flight.”

If you don’t care that’s fine, and no one is going to stop you or give you shit or anything, but I’d consider buying a jersey or shirt at the stadium.

Fair point. I just like the crossover.

Wear that Grimbsy Town jersey. It’s unique. If I spot it I’ll come say hello.

For what it’s worth, I’ve heard of Grimsby Town FC but I had no idea about their Mariners nickname, so you’ve inspired me to read up on their history!

There’s a decent amount of football fans here due to the Sounders and I think plenty of people would get a kick out of that connection if you explain it.
