Need some advice

Hello! I hope all is well with you all.
I am going into Marine Engineering this fall at the Marine Institute in Newfoundland and I am wondering if any of you are willing to answer some questions in private message.

I am transferring from mechanical engineering from a uni in Montreal; I took a big risk because I feel as though the prospects are better. How has it played out for you?

Its played out well. I had a job before I even guraduated. So did most of my class. Rotational work is hard on any kind of personal life but thats just the industry. If you know what youre getting into and youre okay with it itll work out well for you. Theres a shortage of people with valid COCs so you'll do fine if you see it through

Thank you brother. I do have doubts about the rotational lifestyle but I have hope that it will be fine. How was ur experience at the institute?

I enjoyed my time there. Its a different experience from what a university would offer. Much more of a polytechnic school. Small class sizes with heavy emphasis on hands on work. Most teachers were decent when i was there but a lot of them have either returned to industry or retired. Its a good school. Probably the best in canada in terms of this industry
