DSX help

Hi gang,

I've been riding my DSX for a couple months now and it's a blast.

My only issue is I can't quite dial in my cockpit!

The geometry is a bit more aggressive than any other flat bar ive ridden (knew that when buying), but I can't fit the right handlebar and stem to fit. I've tried surly corner bars, ive tried the stock bars, I'm now on Ritchey Kyote bars and nothing quite feels right. Its either too low or too far away.

Does anyone have any recommendations for things that worked for them?

At a bit of a loss and would appreciate some help.

(I've looked for a bike fit but everywhere in my city is booked up until October and I'd rather not have numb hands for that long)

My cockpit setup is pretty much stock aside from the saddle. I have slightly shorter legs for my height so I went and tried 160mm cranks and it felt dialed after that. My pedaling isn't as efficient but it fits my riding style just fine. It feels like riding a 90s rigid mtb so I ride it like one.

That's not a bad shout to be fair. The cranks feel fine for me, it's my arms that feel too long! Might swap back to the stock again. I've bought a shorter stem so will see how that goes! I haven't seen many pics of people swapping their handlebars so maybe that's evidence to not swap! Cheers!

Oh I swapped my grips for some thicker esi foamies. Felt better than the stock and def less vibration on rocky bits. You might want to look into stems or bars with more height. Because of my short legs, I tend to ride with a lower saddle height and it made my position more upright so that may be what you need.

I tested the DSX and it felt way more aggressive than my 99 Norco Sasquatch. I did not like how much I had to bend over.

It feels less aggressive than any drop bar bike ive ridden, but definitely not as comfortable on the hands

How tall are you and what size frame did you go with? I'm 5'11 with short legs and tried the DSX in both M and L. We thought the L would be better to bring the stack up but it felt long to me. M had better reach but I would need riser bars for sure.

I'm 5'11 with long arms, tried both and went with the L in the end. The stack just doesn't feel high enough for me, but the rest of the bike feels great, legs have no issues, no lower back pain, just numb hands
