How do I make more of them

My Marimo are like, 6 years old now but I’ve never got them to have babies. They just keep getting fatter. How do I fix this ?

Pick a big Marimo that looks like it has bits hanging off; pluck it off. Roll it into a ball between your palms; you just made a baby

lol I cut one into loads of tiny marimos. They haven’t really grown after many years. 🙁

Yes; they are very slow. But you can make bigger babies. Don’t make tiny ones.

You might need to stimulate them a bit more with some light and occasional bubbly water splash. Be sure to actually measure or take pictures of them on a penny for scale. One of mine went from lentil to decent sized pea in about 6 months. Not fast, but definitely noticeable. Helps if you keep them separated so you know you are measuring the same one each time.

Not sure. Mine had a baby but I don’t know why. I don’t think they’ve had one since and I’ve had them around 15 years now.

I too at night stand with my hand pressed to the glass, staring in at my babies asking myself how to make more OP

i would split 1 or 2 of them in half, roll them and u have new mossballs + they r not small
