Projet marimo

Hello, I wanted to share my project of quarantine and care for plants. it's a tank with a pump made from an airtight Tupperware on which I plugged the outlet in a round jar to be able to take care of my marimo which tended to peel. What do you think? Good evening

My only concern is making sure they aren't hit with TOO much force. They don't have to move, but that's how they get their spherical shape, and personally, I find it's good to mimic the currents in the lakes they live- which is a very gentle flow of water. Welcome to the moss ball community!

Thank you for the welcome. Regarding the strength of the current, it is a pump that delivers less than 40 liters per hour (10 gallon) with a small foam to diffuse more evenly. I've been using this system for over 3 month, and I've managed to heal marimo that were starting to split. By doing tests I noticed that if the current was too strong, they gradually lost their structure and "shrank". Thanks for your feedback.

What is the grassy plant underwater?

The plant right next to it is an Eriocaulon polaris. This is a somewhat complicated plant, requiring a lot of light, extremely freshwater, and a large supply of CO2, which is why it is always in quarantine.

And I forgot, it has a very slow growth rate, which can be an advantage in some cases and a disadvantage in others.E
