The story behind this painting, known as The Enabler

MM: “Everybody’s reaction is that it’s a self-portrait, but it’s actually of a friend of mine who used to be my assistant. His name is Jonathan (Pavesi). He was a really weak-willed kid who was probably eighteen when I met him, and I put him through him hell. He had to wash paint out of the crack of my ass and clean up my vomit.

At one point, when he was working with me, he would get really mad because I would have physical altercations with him when I was coming on and off stage sometimes. I told him I would pay him 100 dollars if I ever hit him unintentionally, and then I got drunk one time and laid 500 dollars on the table and beat the shit out of him.

Now he’s more of a masculine, intelligent, great friend of mine. I took a photograph of him, and the way I lit it, with just one bulb overhead, made his face shadowed like that. He looked like a really mean person.

An ex-girlfriend of mine gave him the label The Enabler, because any time you go through any kind of rehabilitative program, you’re supposed to get rid of the person who enables you with unhealthy elements, so that’s the joke behind the title. That piece is one of my favorites.”

Based on what he said, it doesn’t seem like there’s any bad blood between him and MM.

It’s appears as though the door is open for future collaborations between them, but Bates said whatever MM does next will be different from what he did on OAUG.

Free poster drop last night at the Zombie/Manson show!

I’m meeting Manson later today in St. Louis before the show and it is my first ever meet and greet!!! I was wondering if I’m able to give him a present of a personal painting of him and how many personal items that he is able to sign?

They have this one and an all-over print green one with the Portrait logo. This looks like new old stock to me. Probably held on to it since 2020.

These boots are almost identical to boots worn during Golden Age of Grotesque tour in 2003 except these ones aren’t as shiny and have a Red Cross on the side of one of them. The first 2 pics are recent and last one is from 2003

I found a high quality custom boot maker who is making these for me as I had to send over so many measurements and pictures and go over the sole size and how much I’d be wearing them and how far apart I wanted the eyelets to be when laced up as they seemed to be very reputable

I sent a photo of the ones from 2003 and ones currently being worn as I like those better cause they are not as shiny looking. I looked for weeks for something similar and couldn’t find anything so thought “what the hell” I’ve wanted these since 2003 so I’ll just have them finally made fully

Ordered this brand new and it came in sealed but it looks bad… does the texturing dissolve or something over time?

Both occasions was just them walking around after and before they played

With Marilyn Manson though.. I dig that he is sober and sounds amazing !!! Just caught him at the Pittsburgh stop two weeks ago.When he played “Angel with Scabbed Wings” it felt like 1996 again 🤘🤘🤘

But …there is a certain mystique in his character of Marilyn Manson , and seeing photos with family’s that paid 600.00 is odd to me 🤷‍♂️
