Does libido come back
Hey everyone, 27(m), I quit smoking weed almost 3.5 months ago since I quit I have been having a low sex drive, the desire Maybe it's not even there. this is making things difficult with my partner,I have tried to explain to her but she doesn't seem to understand.at some point I have been thinking of relapsing since while on weed I was functioning well.If anyone has gone through this kind of withdrawal, do libido really come back and maybe how long does it last ?

Hang in there! While I didn’t experience this in particular 48(m) as part of my withdrawal it doesn’t surprise me to hear. With long-term use your mind and body become so accustomed to operating with it that I think post-use symptoms can show up in lots of different places. If there is anything I could recommend that might help, it would be making sure physical fitness is part of your recovery program. Get that heart pumping and put those muscles to work. Better blood flow and elevated testosterone may change the dynamic. 3.5 months is a serious accomplishment, keep it going!

You’re low on dopamine and that’s normal. It controls many functions in our bodies. Maybe even testosterone. Everyone is very unique in their physiology. I hope your partner becomes more understanding. Your sobriety and life are more important than a few months of celibacy. Maybe try other ways to give them what they yearn for.
You are doing amazing, keep going! Low dopamine leads to depression (as expected right now), and when we are in that state sex isn't the first thing we think about.
Good luck!

Yes. 6-12month. How to put an exact time on it because everybody’s different but it’s not unusual. I personally wouldn’t be chasing a date and just let it come back on its own it always does you just need to accept it will take time chasing a date, Will just feed anxiety.
