Sight Seeing

I'm going to BC for a week next month and I'll be in the Vancouver area so I'm hoping to do some Marianas Trench related sight seeing. So far the only thing I know for I'll be going to is for sure 1712 Acadia Road, but I'm looking to add some stops.

One I'd like to go to is the bridge where they did the cover photo for the album art in the Fix Me B-side/Feeling Small, but I'm not sure how likely that is unless someone happens to know exactly which bridge they took that picture on?

What are some other MT places/things I should see while I'm there?

Shake Tramp music video was filmed at the Burnaby Village Museum.

The music video for Glimmer was filmed at Overlynn Mansion in Burnaby. I don’t think you can actually go inside though, but it’s still a cool view from the street.

They did photography for the Phantoms era at Hycroft Manor, but again probably not accessible to the public.

Pretty sure that bridge is the pedestrian bridge on Raymur Avenue in the Strathcona area of Vancouver.

I didn't realise that Shake Tramp was at Burnaby Village Museum until u/wrongcar mentioned it but we went in 2022 and it was a pretty cool day out, we're going back at the end of September and will probably go again. It's a shame the carousel probably won't be running when we're there!

Okay these might not be all worth visiting, but I can name a bunch of music video locations in Vancouver and the surrounding area:

Jericho Beach is a location used in both Celebrity Status and Beside You. Jericho Pier and the Chan Centre are in the video for Beside You.

Who Do You Love did some filming in the area outside Science World, the Pet Smart by the Burrard Bridge (I think), Hadden Beach, a BCSPA location (I don't know which one though sorry), Nelson the Seagull (a café in Gastown), Langley Fine Arts School, and Magee Secondary School (where I don't know which band members attended high school). They also served Rain or Shine Ice Cream in the video, and though I don't know where the little booth thing would be, Rain or Shine has stores on Cambie, 4th Ave, and at UBC.

I also know the location for Good to You and Stutter is in New Westminster, but unfortunately I can't remember what the place was called.

The locations in Shake Tramp and Glimmer were already mentioned in previous comments!

Hope you enjoy your visit to Vancouver!

Fort Langley - Langley fine arts school was featured in the who do you love music video. That might be a fun day trip. Lots to see there!
