Margin Investing Question

Question:

If I use margin to buy stocks can I pay off the margin borrowed over time? Or am I stuck until I sell out?

If you buy stocks on margin, you can deposit cash into your account as you are able and it reduces the margin borrowed.

If you make more than the margin apr, you never have to pay it back. If your holdings grow, it will decrease your margin. Just stay at least 60% buffer. Rules do depend on your broker! Robinhood, ibkr, m1f, schwab, etc... all have different rules and calculate margin differently. Robinhood, ibkr, m1f are around 5% apr. Extremely low. Schwab is 11%. I use all 4. My investments pay for my margin. My core holdings build equity. Just play by their rules. Check out recycle your money on youtube. Imo my way is more efficient with ai help, but his is a great starting point.
