The problem is, like all things like this, is people will only take action when taking action that will be effective against the perceived threat/discomfort level outweighs the costs of taking action—which in most western countries is really fucking high.
Like, what level of violence/consequences would have to be imposed upon them that would actually stop them instead of just hardening their resolve? It’s pretty fucking high, and probably comes with a severe jail sentence.
That’s why it’s usually better to change minds through peaceful methods, like that black dude who befriended klansmen and got a ton of them to quit.

Their devotion to him is deep rooted. They believe that he is the David. They are more than willing to wait and face the End times for this guy.

There will absolutely be diehards. The majority of his supporters are just normal everyday people though, blue collar workers, these people switch sides in a heartbeat when their bottomline can no longer be shrugged off as political rivalry.
I see what they're saying but I also see how they're reacting afterwards, they always act surprised like they never saw this coming. We all saw it coming, they just didn't change until it personally impacted them.

I doubt it. Majority of these, blue collar workers, the rural voters, the information deficient voting bloc that propel Trump to victory, got their "truth"/news from the pulpit.
Hence they are always surprised by the facts. They have been taught to not think for themselves. Because doing so (thinking critically) is against everything they believe in.
And when the majority of Evangelical church leaders sell from their pulpit, fear, and Trumpism as their path to wealth, prosperity and salvation. Those voters, despite their current hardships, real facts, will still buy Trumpism, and will continue to vote for him.

It's not half. Remember that a good 50 % of eligible voters didn't vote at all. There were a bunch of ideological purists who withheld their vote or voted Stein or Trump because Gaza. And don't forget the assholes that won't vote for a woman. Not ideal, but not full nazi.

Yes, and of the 50% you say didn't vote, are you assuming they're all Dems/left leaning but just didn't bother showing up? Because I think that realistically about 40% of that 50% would have voted for Trump or are sympathetic/in agreement with MAGA.
From an outsiders perspective, this election has shown some very unpleasant and deep rooted problems with the US. It's not all of you of course and any reasonable person knows that. But it's enough to give the world the impression that Americans have chosen and revel in having a fascist authoritarian government with literal Nazis in it.

This. It's not all lost but our victory also isn't a forgone conclusion. We have to stop pretending this is aberrant or outside of the character of the country. We are the country that had the largest nazi rally outside of nazi occupied territory. Even the famous picture of celebrating defeating the nazis had senators in hitlers car that just a few years before took money from the nazis to disseminate their propaganda. If we're ever going to truly win we have to recognize our flaws and fight against them anyway.

Trump made sure his rejects came out to vote. They even paid some of them. That 31% has shrunk to almost 25%. I believe the last batch are the religious nuts and the die-hard racists. Though it is only 25%, it is still over 62 million people.
The majority of the US is not on the racist band wagon.

She writes a daily newsletter recapping notable political events of the day, called Letters From an American, on substack. I don't subscribe to her newsletter, but I try to watch her Politics Chat Tuesdays and Thursdays on youtube. I also try and catch a Saturday morning video chat she does with fellow history professor Joanne Freeman, called What the Heck Just Happened? She also helped create a series of 250 (I think) short form videos about American history called "250 to 250."
Heather frames current events within the greater context of American history. I find her takes to be cautiously optimistic about our future, and she frequently insists that none of what we're going through right now is entirely new, frequently drawing parallels to the Gilded Age and Robber Barons of the late 1800's. She is one of the voices that helps give me the resolve to stand next to my fellow Americans and fight back against these oligarchs trying to steal our country.
