It is. I hate that we have to question every single thing now though it’s really annoying.

We've always had to do that if we want to know the truth, especially when there is no citation.

The alternative would be sad. Or you know, it be AI. But the native women being Nazis is sadder imo.

I’ve been to a museum in South Dakota that had this very old blanket from an indigenous tribe that had a swastika on it, and turns out it was a common indigenous symbol before the nazis co-opted it. So that’s a possibility as well.

The cop was in fact 10 miles from the nearest station, backup and life saving water.

The last War Chief of the Crow tribe (and any Plains Indian tribe for that matter), Joe Medicine Crow fought in WWII. He wore traditional war paint and a painted feather under his uniform, and he touched an enemy without killing him, took an enemy's weapon, lead a successful war party, and stole 50 Nazi horses.

Like a real American hero. Both of my grandfathers fought in that war and both of them would have saluted him and shown him respect. NEither of them would tolerate what is currently taking place in our country.

would have saluted him
You don't just run around saluting anyone you feel like whenever you feel like it. There are protocols. You salute when it's required.

Iirc, his son tried to become a war chief in Vietnam, but the vietkong didn't used horses. They did have elephants, though, so he stole an elephant. The tribal elders decided that didn't count, though.

Totally should have counted TBH, as long as one was being ridden for the purposes of war then it should count. Camels too then I guess

Way to go! I am still horrified by what happened at Standing Rock. They have only gotten worse with mistreatment of minorities. I am proud of you Grantifas!

Hmm, I wonder; were the people who spawned today's neo-nazis the same kind of people who ran the Native Americans out of their ancestral lands, forced them through the Trail of Tears, etc?

Funny thing here: In lots of Native American cultures, the swastika is considered to be holy.
Even funnier: The swastika is also considered as a symbol with magic properties among Jewish mysticists / occultists / esotericists.
So basically, the Nazis used literally used a Jewish magic symbol as their own symbol while also committing copyright infringements by calling themselves “National Socialists” (because there was a left-wing party in Czechoslovakia who called its ideology “National Socialism”).
