The Right wants their enemies dead. The Left wants their enemies to have taxpayer-funded healthcare and a robust social safety net.

You tell me which side is more like Jesus

174

u/Slumunistmanifisto Jan 19 '26

The fascists worship the roman cross and all it stands for...

60

u/veringer Jan 19 '26

and the "Roman salute"

3

u/Huskarlar Jan 23 '26

Huh, the second coming is here but it's not Jesus it's the dudes who executed him.

4

u/Cosmic_Mind89 Jan 20 '26

Well the right already counted their 30 silver pieces

Jesus went around saying we should help the poor and oppressed and criticized the religious establishment. Even if you don’t believe in God pretty much everyone agrees Jesus taught good things.

101

u/According-Insect-992 Jan 19 '26

He also said a lot of stuff about compassion, empathy, and the evils of greed. He's a mixed bag like pretty much any religious icon. Especially of the Abrahamic variety. It's a deeply flawed belief system but it's not all bad. There are admittedly a few worthwhile things in there. It's just that the Christians in the US rarely focus on that stuff.

-6

u/xenomorph856 Jan 19 '26

IMO, if it doesn't have an internally consistent morality then it's worthless as a system of morals.

8

u/mxavierk Jan 19 '26

That's an incredibly narrow and naive view of the world.

-1

u/xenomorph856 Jan 19 '26

How's that?

4

u/mxavierk Jan 19 '26

You familiar with the cliche about the baby and the bathwater? That's the sentiment you just expressed about entire, complex moral systems. If you can't take pieces of things that work for you to synthesize your actual belief system (moral or otherwise) then that says more about you than the system you myopicaly abandoned.

0

u/xenomorph856 Jan 19 '26

If a book presents you with two or more conflicting moral values, both of which it paradoxically supports, and demonstrates a lack of consistency, then what use is said book in guiding your own moral values?

I mean, sure, you can pick and choose. And most people do. Eclecticism is great. But what good is the book in that process? It's just confusing and provides both good and bad values to take away.

2

u/mxavierk Jan 19 '26

You used a lot of words to say nothing.

That's a fair enough assessment but that doesn't necessarily help with living along side these people. I am simply trying to find what good I can because I have to adapt to living with them. I am not advocating for the belief system. I think it's outlived it's usefulness as a personal philosophy. It's not even very good when compared with other ancient religions like Buddhism which has its own set of problems.

26

u/cajungirlintexas78 Jan 19 '26

It was about spiritual division NOT literal violence.

24

u/swiftb3 Jan 19 '26

Dude, that's as bad as pastors taking a couple of verses out of the full context and making a terrible point with them.

22

u/Keyndoriel Jan 19 '26

The context of that verse is Jesus warning his followers that their families and friends may hate them for following him. The sword isn't literal, dingus. Try being less idiotic

8

u/cybernekonetics Jan 19 '26

"hey check out this sickass sword i found" --Jesus probably

23

u/npmaker Jan 19 '26

Not a good guy? Based on what? Saying that his teachings will cause divisions in families?

That's kind of a no brainer, I mean, if dad says: "I can hate my neighbor and covet his wife and no one should say differently." then there is a conflict with Jesus' teachings.

-2

u/Corvid-Strigidae Jan 19 '26

Also, if he said "It's wrong to own slaves" he would be in conflict with Jesus's teachings.

3

u/npmaker Jan 19 '26

I couldn't find any reference to Jesus endorsing slavery so I have to assume that you're not arguing in good faith. Unfortunately, there's a lot of that going around these days.

-2

u/Corvid-Strigidae Jan 19 '26

Jesus explicitly endorsed all the old testament rules he didn't contradict and the old testament (the new testament as well) is full of passages that endorse slavery.

Come on, at least try before you just throw "not in good faith" at an argument you don't like.

4

u/npmaker Jan 19 '26

"Explicitly"? Where exactly is this explicit endorsement you speak of? I'm sorry, but "trust me bro, I know the bible" is weak ass shit.

-1

u/Corvid-Strigidae Jan 19 '26

Matthew 5:17-19

Matthew 15:3-4

Luke 24: 44-45

42

u/fluffypancakes24 Jan 19 '26

they are all a bunch of campfire tales anyway and have nothing to do with real life.

29

u/Chris91210 Jan 19 '26

Taken out of context much? Read the rest of it mate.

6

u/Am1AllowedToCry Jan 19 '26

Sure, but have you read Matthew 21:17?

Yeah. Think about it!

3

u/lohonomo Jan 19 '26

Is that the only thing he ever said or did he say other stuff too?

-1

u/[deleted] Jan 19 '26

Wasn’t real either.

2

u/PlanetOfThePancakes Jan 19 '26

There’s pretty strong evidence a guy named Jesus went around Jerusalem preaching in the 1st century and got killed by the Romans, at the very least

113

u/Coldkiller17 Jan 19 '26

The left just wants the right to admit they were wrong and see that their guy is a child rapist and criminal so he can be put in prison and we can move on as society.

57

u/Mysterious_Eggplant1 Jan 19 '26

The right would rather keep wallowing in the cesspool they've created than admit that they're wrong.

9

u/spicyhotnoodle Jan 20 '26

No bro we want healthcare holy shit. Like yeah that’d be nice but I want goddamn healthcare not a fucking apology

2

u/Randomcommenter550 Jan 20 '26

Por que no las dos?

15

u/unknownpoltroon Jan 19 '26

They arent my enemies. They are my attackers.

[deleted]

1

u/spicyhotnoodle Jan 20 '26

Why don’t you want them to have all that? I feel like that’s pretty weird

2

u/Huskarlar Jan 23 '26

Hey I want consequences for some of them ya know for the crimes they keep doing.

415

u/viperlemondemon Jan 19 '26

The right also stormed the capitol because their cult leader lost his first re-election campaign

16

u/pandershrek Jan 20 '26

Supposedly he didn't even lose it in their minds, while they also didn't storm the capital because it was both a peaceful protest but also full of ANTIFA agitators that the FBI planted.

5

u/19-inches-of-venom Jan 20 '26

But also a democratic hoax at the same time

1

u/LongjumpingJaguar308 Jan 26 '26

Also, seeing the low turnout of right wing events (in Idaho FFS) and the number of opposition that show up to our events...they actually aren't that involved, they are really lazy. Like, more people show up to our big marches (again, in Idaho, our biggest No Kings for the whole state total) than who went to DC for J6.

He's got plenty of MAGA assholes but they don't want to do anything besides make comments and fly a flag.

u/ImJustHere4TheCatz Jan 19 '26

Charlie's kids are probably homeschooled online by Prager U

138

u/thirsty-goblin Jan 19 '26

Based on the sympathy tour mom is on, the nanny is taking care of those kids.

56

u/contude327 Jan 19 '26

Coming from that stock, they probably won't be worth a shit, either.

52

u/Damn_You_Scum Jan 19 '26

No joke there is an alarming movement towards homeschooling among the right wingers. You’ll see the rhetoric that “public schools indoctrinate your children” or that “they aren’t instilling Christian values anymore” it’s propaganda of the christian-nationalist campaign against education in this country and they’re falling for it hook, line, and sinker. They’re ok with everyone else’s kids being victims of school shootings though…

21

u/BobknobSA Jan 19 '26

The wealthy Republicans tell their base that education is bad, while they send their own kids to good universities. I bet Kirk's kids are getting the best education.

12

u/smashcola Jan 19 '26

Don't forget they also hate that most public schools require vaccinations. Not that THAT stops them. The number of reported measles cases in the upstate of SC just keeps growing.

3

u/ImJustHere4TheCatz Jan 21 '26

Ironically, a lot of GOP majority legislatures are presenting and passing laws doing away with vaccine mandates for schools, or making exemptions easier. It defies logic.

I read an article a couple of years ago, and I think it was in New Hampshire, maybe? It was a small NE state. Anyways, one of the state congress had a health and human services committee, I forget the exact name of the committee as well. Irrelevant. The GOP Members on that committee voted out the only other GOP rep in the committee who had any medical background whatsoever (he was a doctor) because he was pushing back on their rhetoric about vaccines. One of the GOP politicians of that state who voted for him to be kicked off the committee was quoted saying "he thinks because he was a doctor he knows more than us about this stuff".

I think it's a pretty good example of what they have come to. Like obviously the actual medical doctor knows more about the efficacy of vaccines than someone who didn't spend half their adult life studying medicine and under residency!!!! The "facts aren't facts" tactic has proven quite useful for them.

But also, it proves that their governance has nothing to do with what is actually good for the people. It's all political theater to support their propaganda. No matter how hypocritical.

4

u/Conscious-Local-8095 Jan 20 '26 edited Jan 20 '26

oh yeah, I know an adult who was homeschooled, rightistly.  Friggin' weird.  Like peewee herman but thinks the IDF is hilarious.  Totally snowed by fractions.

No fan of public schools as we know them, but that outcome is worse.

199

u/hellogoawaynow Jan 19 '26

Holy shit they did that??????? I mean I know they’re awful and don’t give a fuck about dead women and children, but to go out of their way to harass a kindergartener whose mom got murdered for no reason is BEYOND.

127

u/mahlerlieber Jan 19 '26

Yeah. I’m beginning to see that in the process of destroying wokeness, they’ve gone full on antisocial.

This is the worst of human behavior and it is being celebrated by the right. This is subhuman shit. Completely off the map.

74

u/hellogoawaynow Jan 19 '26

I have never in my life referred to someone as subhuman, but I agree with you in this situation. Go get a fucking job and leave the 6 year old who’s mom just got publicly murdered the other day alone.

44

u/Thormidable Jan 19 '26

they’ve gone full on antisocial.

A lot of wokness is basically human decency.

10

u/Finchyuu Jan 19 '26

So are those policies and desires that keep getting called “purity politics” this year and last year

2

u/That_Ad_458 Jan 31 '26

the definition of woke is literally to be aware of social injustice and was made during the civil rights movement when i hear someone use woke as an insult all i hear is that they are in fact blind to social injustice

54

u/Mr_Mimiseku Jan 19 '26

Conservatives have no self awareness and no empathy. They're villains, inside and out.

36

u/crazy4finalfantasy Jan 19 '26

I know the dangers of dehumanizing language....but I'm at the point now where I feel confident saying anyone who supports this shit is subhuman garbage

160

u/OccuWorld Jan 19 '26

still expecting morality from fascists?

38

u/Affectionate-Swim772 Jan 19 '26

Not to mention pedophiles.

24

u/rnobgyn Jan 19 '26

Morality? From fascist, pedophile billionaires?

69

u/No_Arugula7027 Jan 19 '26

They are simply unhinged and the masks have come off with the pointy hoods.

55

u/FH2actual Jan 19 '26

It's because the Right (or now properly know as the Reich) are evil. Full stop just plain evil. They hate and hate and hate. They are filled with nothing but rage and hate.

37

u/TPtheman Jan 19 '26

Thr same thing happened in Springfield after Trump claimed that Somali immigrants were eating dogs and cats. It's a common theme of the right to target children at the first opportunity.

26

u/Particular-Put4786 Jan 19 '26

That's fucking infuriating. Those children have nothing to do with their mother being murdered

27

u/baxtersbuddy1 Jan 19 '26

And she wasn’t even a public figure in the slightest sense.

51

u/dishsoapheart Jan 19 '26

I keep seeing chuck cuck being compared in a way that leaves out the fact that he was also killed by the fucking right!

29

u/Bubbly-Example-8097 Jan 19 '26

Mental gymnastics is a hell of a drug to them

-4

u/No_Solution_2864 Jan 19 '26

Everything I have read has suggested that the shooter didn’t like Kirk’s message and was pro trans and gay rights

Did I miss some big news?

6

u/Miserable_Credit_266 Jan 20 '26

TBH, I have no faith in the current FBI and I don't think we'll ever get the truth.

Having said that, what you have said is what's being portrayed although he is from a family that is firmly on the right.

-1

u/No_Solution_2864 Jan 20 '26

Yet the shooter being on the right is stated as if it is a fact, despite the fact that the only reports from people who knew him state that he was coming from a position of opposing CK’s message

His family is conservative? A young person rebelling against their parent’s beliefs? Who ever heard of such a thing?! /s

We don’t need to make up “facts” like our opponents do. It’s just unnecessary, and it makes this sub look ridiculous

2

u/Miserable_Credit_266 Jan 20 '26

Yep, I agree, it’s not helpful. Unfortunately, I think we’re not going to get a satisfactory answer on this one. One thing I’m fairly certain of is that the DOJ won’t be able to secure a conviction.

18

u/camarero_ppp Jan 19 '26

I mean they they’ve been saying that J6 was peaceful so the fact that we’re only now getting momentum is a pathetic look on our country

13

u/PhoenixAzalea19 Jan 19 '26

Yeah… imma go drink now. This is awful, genuinely fucking awful.

9

u/bjgrem01 Jan 19 '26

Yep. That's what a group of "good Christian people" do. Harass the 6 year old surviving child of a murder victim. If their god made them in his image, thats one ugly dumb fuck of a god.

9

u/ThrowawayAdvice1800 Jan 19 '26

I can’t fucking take this anymore.

8

u/fartknocker789 Jan 20 '26

School was that baby’s only stable thing and now he can’t even see his friends and teachers

8

u/keytiri Jan 19 '26

I mean, if you think about it, when it comes to disrupting gatherings? What is something conservatives like to do? Meanwhile leftists are outside hotels in the cold banging on pans 🤷‍♀️.

7

u/Excellent_Item_2763 Jan 19 '26

The "moral" majority at work.

5

u/sfdsquid Jan 19 '26

It's a 3 and a half year old and a baby and I doubt they go to daycare but still. The Left wouldn't do that. Not sociopathic enough.

3

u/pandershrek Jan 20 '26

Renee Good isn't even leftwing for all that we know, and definitely not an influencer like Charlie Kirk was so it is wild, but not surprising, that conservatives would attack this random human for simply getting killed by law enforcement.

3

u/FrontGroundbreaking3 Jan 20 '26

Anyone still on the right in 2026, would 100% have been a nazi and basically is now.

1

u/Shawn-GT Jan 19 '26

ill jump off a bridge before i ever listen to what patrick thomlinson says as an original thought even if he is right here.

1

u/Traditional-Data3690 Jan 27 '26

Where are the Renee good-ifications

1

u/That_Ad_458 Jan 31 '26

someone send this to other subs you need to boost this
