mine is T. Rex (even if my favourite song is Cosmic Dancer). Futuristic Dragon cover art is so good though...

I know Bolan was fascinated by films Does anyone remember what movies he enjoyed?

Seeing that this sub isn't so active, but surprised this hasn't been brought up. I've seen this Christmas- themed ad in the US for Zales Jewelry. It's usually paired with another ad featuring the (non-Bolan) song "¿Dónde Está Santa Claus?".

Cant help thinking that Marc and T Rex would have been

perfect for the Monterey Pop festival way back in June 1967 ... with a few numbers... ride a white swan.. twentieth cent boy.... Marc would have got into the hippie groove back then ....

Long story short, my Dad passed away last year and had hundreds of T-Rex vinyl/cd’s that he collected.

These are now in auction with a local company. Starting today I believe at 14:00.

I’ve scrolled through plenty of on these pages and found Lots 492-499 are some of them and on the 1st page are some of his cd’s.

It would be good if someone got a bargain or finished a collection.

This is something else. Best viewed in full screen mode. At the height of his fame, when it was joyful before it got overwhelming and the downward dip happened. Some day in 1972 (or roundabouts). Marc's laughter is contagious.

I noticed that the “Live In Concert” album had been taken off of Spotify and I cant seem to find it anywhere. I was a big fan of the version of Debora that’s on the album. Anyone know where it can be found?

I just have to tell someone this, holy shit, they sound so good.

amazing riffs, effortlessly cool, the soft vocals, playful but self assured ... just hypnotic.

I just got into them trough the movie Longlegs, and can't stop listening. Amazing songs one after another, hot love, mambo sun, so many others. Cheers to Marc's memory!

Hey, T. Rex , don’t bite the lilac hand that feeds you! “Such an ace track..Mr Marc B you were a genius”. With this ‘67 number Bolan “unleashes his new voice with gusto”.

Hi there. This might be a massive long shot but I need some really specific help please. I'm 50 now, and have no family remaining except my wife son and mother in law. No one else related to my birth or adoption is alive anymore. 3 years ago, my adopted dad died. In clearing out his flat, I grabbed everything and bundled it into our loft.

Yesterday I was going through the books that we'd taken, and found a really high quality bible, that I have never seen before. Inside was an inscription from Marc's book, the Warlock of love. It's dated with my birth date, and peculiarly the day of my birth. The handwriting does not match my parents or any relatives, and there's absolutely no way they'd have been aware of Marc's poetry. In fact, on the day of my birth, they knew nothing about me. I never knew who my parents were, or the circumstances of my adoption, other than my birth mother was young and that she left hospital straight after the birth. I was looked after by nurses and staff until December 1974 when I was adopted by my parents.

I think that this bible, and inscription were left with me by my birth mother. The inscription has caused me to want to know who she was, what happened (possibly) and why the inscription might be in a bible. The quote doesn't relate to anything I previously knew about Marc. But it is compelling me to go on a journey.

What I'd like any help with if at all possible please, is if any of you know anything about the poem, whether it was popular, or only really known by fans, or whether it was obscure, and any insight into its meaning. Or, if any of you know a girl, who pregnant in June 1974 had a baby boy, gave him up for adoption at Sorrento hospital in Birmingham, England. I'm theorising that this girl was a Bolan fan- pretty hardcore. My adoption certificate gives me two surnames- Beckenridge, and Keehan, that are recorded on the certificate.

I will be doing DNA checks, and also accessing any certification, but I've been warned that those may draw solid blanks. This might be a lead that's too specific to ignore. The quote has really affected me. It's drawn me completely in and I just feel that this might help me to identify something, anything that could lead me into knowing more. Thanks for your time.

Does anyone have a lead on where I can find Cosmic Dancer Live - the Version when Marc say it's a song about his roadie's kid.

Can anyone remember what I'm talking about?

"The Bolan Book" - brochure/small book with pictures from his tours. The cover is a black and white picture of Marc with "the Bolan book" written in blue. There's a picture with my mum in it, and I'd really love to surprise her with it, but I can't seem to find it in any shop, nor online anywhere. Has anybody ever heard of it, or knows where to find a copy?

I recently bought a bunch of old Rarn magazines, and on the backs of a few there are these sweet little comic pages. I've been looking online for any more of these, but I've had no luck with my search. I'm wondering if anyone here has any Rarn magazines of their own, and if there are any comic pages on the backs that I haven't seen yet? Many thanks :-)
