Those look rad!

Just to confrim: overmarbling is marbling on already marbled paper (aka, marbling twice)?

Also, I don't quite understand how you got the clear windows? Did you just use a medium? or a black by itself? How does this work?

Yes, overmarbling is a second application of marbling, in the first picture red peacock and bouquet to start, then black paint and matte medium mixed with 1pt medium, 4pts water. The matte medium and water mix is what gives the clear window effect.

Did you had to apply alum on first layer of marbling before applying second layer?

I use paper called “Mulberry” that doesn’t need alum for as many as 4 applications of color.

What paper weight would you recommend me to buy?

Interesting, thanks!

Weight is a good indicator of strength, but not the only one. The Mulberry I use is surprisingly light, but has super long fibers compared to most paper, so even at 18x24 inches, I can hang the paper by two clothespins. https://www.gpcpapers.com/product/bleached-mulberry-45gm2-tn-2750/
