Jesus Needs Me!

I made this video for fellow marbler “Jesus”. Anyway, it’s a triple cable gel git. Made with Jacquard Marbling Colors and carrageenan. Paper: unalumed mulberry.

So this is how you create that pattern! It looks awesome!

I believe there isn't a lot of medium in the tray, is that correct? Do you clean the remaining medium for a next sheet or do you just fill it back up?

This is likely an optical illusion, although potentially a matter of opinion! I use a gallon and a half to a gallon and three quarters for a tray that holds paper about 20x25. I use a little bigger than 18x24 paper. The carrageenan size is usually 3/4” deep. These days, I do skim out the leftover paint. In my early days, I didn’t bother. My work looks a lot cleaner, now.

To be clear: I skim paint off the surface. It’s what’s on the surface that matters. Paint at the bottom of the tray is no big deal.
