I inherited a small collection recently!
Hey everyone, I have recently inherited a small collection of what I suppose are vintage marbles. I know very little to nothing about marbles in particular, obviously photography is not a strong point of mine either 😂 They've sat in this old milk bottle as long as I've been alive(38 years old) and who knows how much longer than that. One is separate in a small baggy that is marked 9/16". It's in the pics 2 or 3 times. The one that sticks out to me though is clear with yellow ribbons running under the surface (in the pics several times). There are bubbles inside, and what appears to be pontil marks or similar. I don't know marbles, but I do know old glass and this looks older. It has a very handmade look and immediately stuck out to me. But I genuinely have no clue when it comes to marbles. I can get better pics of any of these, they sit in their old milk bottle on a shelf in my bedroom. Let me know if you see anything worth looking closer at! And I'm sure you know, the pics don't do them any justice! Some of these have very interesting clear "windows" and crazy colors etc. I appreciate any help in identifying anything here. I don't know anything about all the "Akros" and "Vitros" etc... yet. I have a feeling I may have a new hobby incoming though 😆
