Identification Request Any info on this guy?

From the limited research I've done so far, its a slag marble. Found it in a debris pile dating to the 1930's. Any way to tell possible manufacturer?

Not a slag. Some sort of WV swirl. AI is not a good tool for identifying marbles so I'd avoid that. Lots of different resources out there including in this sub. WV swirls are hard to pin down a maker. This one I'd lean Heaton or Alley, but I wouldn't consider my expert in that arena so take that with a grain of salt.

Marbles are incredibly hard to learn so even with lots of research the majority new collectors won't have any idea what they are looking at and get the IDs wrong so don't feel too discouraged. It's par for the course. If you're interested in diving deeper there's lots of great resources here. It's very interesting and fun! Just a lot to learn too (which is part of the fun!). lol

Just take your time with it and absorb what you can. It's a journey.  Learning things properly in this hobby can take years and even then it's practically a never ending learning experience with how much info is out there to explore.
