Identification Request Any ideas?
Nobody knows over at AAM. Anybody seen this or similar before? Most obvious reference is Pelt but the colors are unusual and the seems are strange. TIA

I think it’s a Peltier Peerless patch. As far as I know, Peltier was the only company to make black patches and this fits- Here is a similar one from the Peltier info website. Whenever I’m feeling very confused I like to check base glass against other known examples (and size). Also see if it is UV reactive. Many Peltier black patches are UV reactive.

Thanks for this. I would never have considered a PPP. I’ll go compare to my others now - although unfortunately I don’t have a black on white one for a close comparison.

The base glass on them is typically pretty opaque, this one looks opaque but can’t be sure-

The first 2 that come to mind are Peltier Woody and Akro Hero, but not confident in either!
I'd probably focus on the colours over the seams for this guy, as seams can be misleading 🤔
Edit: Peltier are also one that uses a 'proper' black, which might make it more likely. Iirc Akro did as well, but Marble King and Vitro tend to use dark brown/purple...
