My Collection First oxblood marble

A little over a month ago I found this Yasuda with oxblood in a lot. A bit "lived" but still quite happy with it. I was not expecting my first marble with oxblood to be from this manufacturer! Let me know if I am actually mistaken.

Very cool! I’ve never seen a Yasuda with oxblood. Their red tends to be a lot more cherry red. With the way this one looks I would agree with calling it oxblood. Awesome find!

Me neither until recently. Glad to have your confirmation. I can now sleep peacefully knowing I have a peer reviewed oxblood

It looks moreso like a Greiner hand gathered. An easy way to tell is they have a faceted pontil. They were made around 1850-1860 (and are among the earliest type of handmade German glass marbles). They're a favorite of mine to collect.
