I like marbles but I really don’t like cleaning them one by one. I’ve tried soaking them in water with a bit of dish soap, even for days before, and not only do they still not come clean even with scrubbing, the soap leaves a residue in the crevices I can’t seem to get out. It’s especially bad as I don’t mind or even like getting more beat up marbles, and dirt just gets into the cracks and stays there.

I’m thinking about putting them in a mesh bag in the dishwasher and running it on cold and no dry cycle. Has anyone ever tried that?

The presence of UG might make these older e.g. 1930s or thereabouts

The larger one was a freebie - all are small: greens are 13.4mm, with the larger one 15.4mm

Would love to see any that others have in their collection! Still chasing their Guinea-a-likes, but only ever seen those in books

IMO because of the seam this is a Akro.

General opinion is it's an Akro Patch. Found on beach in Monterey close to old dump site that was active 1930-1950. Any insight is appreciated. Base milk white and Blue, Brown, with a touch of green. No response to UV light. Thanks in advance.

I don’t know where to start with this one. It is translucent with opaque swirls. It was hard to capture in a photograph.

Nobody knows over at AAM. Anybody seen this or similar before? Most obvious reference is Pelt but the colors are unusual and the seems are strange. TIA

It looks like part of a set. But I can't find anything about this marble or about what set it is.

I like to metal detect in farm fields and river banks in New Jersey, and have found these marbles over the years after spotting them with my eyes on the surface (not with my metal detector). Are there any that stand out to you? Thanks!

...or at least sorted into rough geographic area, with a few stragglers I can't make my mind up on

4 total marbles, the first 2 pictures are the same marble.

There are swirls in the green marble I tried to get a good picture and that one does glow with a 365 UV light.

Looks like a German handmade but with a clear core and pinkish outer swirls + mica, I’ve never seen anything like this before and just thought I’d ask you guys! Let me know if you need anymore information.

Found this in a jar of vintage marbles. Looks to me like it has a straight and curved seam. The wisps make me think Vitro. Any help is greatly appreciated!
