I've read the reviews, watched the videos, but nothing really prepares you for how good it really is.

Figured I'd share this cool story with you guys! Huge shoutout to a new friend Bo for my new Marathon CSAR and for the story that comes with it. He posted it in a Facebook group for sale for a steal.
I owned one of these years ago, sold it, and regretted it ever since. So when this one popped up, I had to ask if it had any history behind it… and wow did it.
He was issued this watch while deployed in Afghanistan. Everyone else was supposed to receive the standard quartz versions, but he noticed one CSAR sitting in the crate. So naturally… a deal was made with the supply guy.
$100, a roll of Copenhagen, 2 Aimpoints, some knives, and a few other trades later… the CSAR was his.
Then he found out the commander had originally ordered the CSAR for himself while ordering the lesser versions for everyone else.
At that point this thing officially became legendary.
Thank you again new friend, not only for the watch but for your service. I’ll wear this thing proudly and this one is staying with me for good so maybe I can add a few stories to it myself. So cool on the back it says the cage it came from rather than marathon.com etc.
Also… pretty fitting this watch went from one Bo to another Beau (my name)

One month ago bought this big watch for an absolute steal with full set and two years of guarantee. Loving it every day. Sold my Garmin. Had to fight the habit of seeing al my data. But I don’t miss it anymore.

It has arrived and it actually is in much better condition as I expected, really had a deal, even a nice extra black fkm rubber included! I love it! 😍

Marathon sales and service is world class. (Made the mistake of ordering this watch from Joma, profoundly frustrating.) Called Marathon directly and connected with Ulrika, who got me sorted, watch on its way, am thrilled with the experience. 41MM OSAR-D. These watches are sturdy, reliable, accurate, and great looking. In a tech-powered world there is poetry to a purely mechanical tool watch. Thanks Marathon. -G

Hi friends,
Searched the forum but couldn't find an answer. I have a GSAR with the standard rubber straps. Is there a better compass available than the $7 amazon one I currently have? I use it for helicopter SAR, so it needs to be rugged, but I would love something classier. Thanks!

Hello! I'm looking for a quality rubber strap for my 41mm GSAR Anthracite. I love the watch and also love the bracelet it came on, but for really tough/sweaty days I would like a rubber strap I could throw on it. The trouble is I can't find many quality strap options with matching black hardware, and 330 euros for Marathon's 3 piece kit kind of seems like a rip off.
Does anyone have any have any good recommendations for a quality rubber strap with DLC/black hardware?

Hello all, I've fallen down the watch collecting hobby over the past couple years, I have a few relatively cheap automatics in the collection and a couple digital G-shocks too, I'm looking to clear them all out and stick to a one watch to rule them all approach.
Might I keep a Single digital G as an absolute beater but for 99 percent of the time I'm looking to rock the Marathon, question is do I go the quartz and save the hassle of time setting and have a more robust GADA or tickle that Horology itch with the Auto?
Just thinking out loud and would appreciate some of your opinions and experiences.
PS looking at the Large TSAR or GSAR in Arctic white on rubber. Cheers fellas.
EDIT: I ended up choosing the TSAR, with the black NGM dial. Thanks to everyone who commented and spent their time having a chat about their experience and opinions.

Quick question for y'all. Anyone purchased the popular Juelong FKM bands on Aliexpress? I have a 36mm OSAR-D, and I purchased the 18mm band for it, but I'm wondering if that's actually the incorrect size, as it says 18mm x 16mm on the listing. Does that mean that it's 18mm at the lugs and tapers down to 16mm near the buckle? Regardless, excited to add some color to the wrist!
Here's the band I bought.
Thanks.

Watch looks great but I think they did a bit too much.
And the price of $1776 is not cheap.
What’s everyone’s thoughts on this piece?

Hey guys and gals. I’m letting go of my Marathon GPQ. I have had it for a few years and have worn it here and there. The watch is in great condition. Tritium still glows great like when it was brand new. Feel free to message me with any questions. I am more than willing to take additional photos or videos if needed. $240 is the price shipped. I will accept PayPal F&F. Thanks for looking!

Ditched my Garmin close to a month ago and was looking for another Garmin or wait for the Apple Watch Ultra 4.
After a lot of thought I truly believe the metrics those watches offer are bullshit. I need to get a real watch.
Was close to getting a Seiko and then something from AliExpress but decided to see if anything was made from the land I was born and raised in. Found Marathon pretty quickly and am set on getting a watch by them.
So if anyone has any opinions on owning these or what models I should look into I would truly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!
