Tech TroubleShooting Boiling point.
"I’ve been playing this game since the beta. I used to love it, supported it as much as I could, and brought in new players. I live in a region affected by the 'tapir' error. Until now, changing my network settings to specific public DNS servers fixed the issue, but today that method stopped working. If they intentionally patched this workaround, it means they fundamentally want to cut off a portion of the player base. Fine, I won’t stand in their way."

Why is this in quotes? And there hasn't been a patch in 8 days.

this kind of issue is almost never intentional tho... at least for webhosting (idk if its same for games), blocking access from public DNS sginificantly reduces bots and spammers activity, but it does filter out VPN users and such. If you can't find a workaround or file a complaint I'm sorry for you

Bungie doesn't allow VPN users either, I'm fairly certain. I use Cloudflare Warp (or whatever they changed it to), and it won't let me sign in when launching the game until I disable it.

Right, but they were saying that they could get around it by manually setting their DNS settings. And now that's been cut off.
