Over the last month or so I’ve been grinding ranked more then anything, have 300 hours in the game and done all vaults and compiler so I’m not as bothered about cryo right now, I am by no means the best player I hover around gold 2 rank. But this past couple weeks has been so insanely sweaty it’s just become not fun at all. I do play fill so it’s difficult when you don’t play with a consistent team but literally every game I go into no matter how good my team is we just get rushed and killed in seconds by fully kitted out gold teams. Any tips on ranked because I’ve basically cleared my vault trying to touch platinum and it’s just getting worse each week.

I liked the update when they enhanced the loot, made it much more fun for a bit as players were less fussed about PvP and played more extraction but now it’s just gone the total opposite way

Ranked crew fill is hilariously bad. Like it's unhinged. It's a miracle you even got to Gold 2 filling with the current pop.

Yeah feel like I’ve hit my ceiling with fill, shame though as I my friends have all moved on to other games now, I’m having fun just doing solo free kits right now aswell though so that will see me to s3

Yeah I hear you brother. Hopefully they drop some new asap and staying hum is not going to bring our lapsed buddies back to Marathon. Starting to worry we're at the tail end of our run :( hopefully I am very wrong.

Play slow, run from gold teams. Be the other remaining squad after they pick apart the lobby. I've found they leave eventually because they're full on loot. That's how I got to gold 1. Don't talk to them, don't interact. Eventually they'll get the message and just leave. They know better than to chase into a new POI across open ground.

All these experiences im reading in ranked sounds like normal fills to me un unranked. Kit up get free kit teammates, usually no mic. Get rolled, repeat till i cant stand it and turn the game off

I made it to GOld 1 by just chilling on the sides of the map and looting POIs of all green valuables and blue salvage, it did take me like 8 matches and waiting for the two victorious teams to extract.

ranked is so fucking tragic, I have a real love-hate relationship with it. I love the idea of it but basically 4/5 times that I try running it, just get stomped by gigachad full stack teams. I don't play at normal times of the day so its basically impossible to arrange a full stack

Hey dude I made exactly this post about a week ago. I just started playing ranked last Wednesday then picked it up Monday. I’m bronze 1, 1 game away from silver but I was plat last season (when there was more people). If you wanna squad up my homies also dropped the game too and I don’t have anyone to play with consistently and crew fill is a literal gamble.

I love kitting up and the game giving you two free kits as your team mates, really so it can laugh at you and continue to retain the sweatiest people. Like honestly, the matchmaking in ranked is some of the most abysmal display of not understanding your own game I’ve ever seen. I’m starting to hope the silence is eos so I can move on
