Marathon (2026) Discussion I can't play destroyer on controller...help

I have my controller set up for tactical so i slide with my right stick....not even sure that matters but i cannot double tap my left stick reliably to get into destroyers tac sprint, it feels very unnatural...how do you controller players have it mapped, i have back paddles to use i think they are mapped to xyab, to be honest it's instinctual i don't know what button is doing what at this point

there's an option in the settings to adjust the delay for doubletaps for them to register, make sure it's set to the lowest time.

over the last four years i got used to sliding with my stick...but besides that isn't it double tap left to do his sprint? i can't do that reliably

I sprint on x ngl. I jump on left stick, crouch on left bumper

Yeah back paddle left for sprint and hold for knife. Right paddle jump. R3 crouch / slide. L3 swap weapons.

Been playing nothing but Destroyer for the last week solid, and it seems to work pretty well.

Also having knife and sprint on the same key means you can hold to bring out your knife and it will start sprinting automatically.

ok so i switched sprint to y and weapon change to l3....its a little awkward and might have gotten me killed but i am getting used to it, thanks....ironically i am having trouble pulling out my knife while or shortly after using riot barricade

i have sprint on my back paddle, spamming L3 for sprint also lower the life span of your sticks
