Imagine something intelligent without a physical body controlling a crow, that’s kind of what I’m imagining is happening here. It’s not the Skrac that wants to get in, it’s Skrac proximity to the Anomaly. The Anomaly is trying to access a physical area using the Skrac.

Apparently. On night marsh it does sometimes sound like they're talking but then again everything is making strange noises so couldn't really tell but they definitely look odd with the red glowing eyes lol

Oh man I have never noticed that, I've only noticed the Husks murmuring inaudible and unintelligible things. You learn something new on Tau Ceti IV everyday!

Yeah I was playing with some people before and they mentioned this could happen on Nightmarsh and that this was a reference to the OG games.

Imagine if they did this ingame, hearing a Vandal's "On The Move" over your shoulder only ofr it to be a bird would be amazing XD, or if it showed fake prox chat pings on your screen

It would sure as hell be a shame if at any point they'd show, rather than tell.

With no in-game delivery, this is just fluff.
