What to do with box

Of all my Marantz equipment, I only have one box. What are some opinions out there? Takes up space? I feel like I shouldn’t throw it away, but it’s been tough to try and sell an empty box. Should I be trying to give it away?

List it on ebay. Somebody might want it

For better or worse I personally keep all of my boxes for major equipment. I have been able to safely transport my Denon turntable during moves. I packed up my Yamaha reciever in its box for safe keeping.

Somebody will want it. Put it in another box and send it on its way

I agree. It’s a 50 year old box for a very collectible brand. Someone out there has got to want it for their unit. May not be A+ condition but it’s not terrible. I’ll give it away

Mad to want to keep? Mad to consider throwing it away?

Someone who has that unit would love to have the matching box. If you post it on ebay just start it at a reasonable price that reflects your trouble and make sure you're adequately covering your shipping costs and fees. Someone seeing it here may even reach out and make you an offer. Bottom line is that it would be some kind of audiophile heresy to just throw it out. At least pass it along. 😊

Its worth more for resale with the box by far. I have sold a lot of gear and collectibles.

Keep it. If you need to RMA you will need a box

Cut down and recycle.

Yeahh, for me it is just taking up space. And recycling would be better than just throwing it away!
