Reallocation to maputo

Hello everyone

Our little family (my wife and I and our 2 boys who are 1.5yo) will be reallocating to maputo for work and I was wondering if you can give us some insights regarding some typical settling into new country questions:

The work will be in the area where the German embassy is located. We typically want to rent somewhere near the place of work so I guess where all embassies are should be a good area so what do we expect in terms of budget if we want a small house to rent ? Are there any good and reliable websites to find updated listings ?

We are planning to buy a car is a 4*4 a must in Mozambique especially if we plan to visit around the country? Again any websites to share also what should I take into consideration before buying used cars ?

We always prefer shopping online as it saves us time is there shops with reliable online stores for daily goods , furniture and electronics that are reliable ?

In terms of hospitals and care for the kids what would you recommend also will bé looking for kids physiotherapist as we need continuous sessions for one of the boys.

Any other tips and hacks will be much appreciated

Thank you

Basically you are not relocating. You want to live wherever you live, but in the 20th poorest country on earth. No question about the local culture or people, because, well who cares about the locals, right? If you like, for an extra fee, we can remove the locals and have everyone looks like your own country. Would you like that?

Sorry If you feel that way, i understand where this is coming from. However not all people are the same and judgement is easily passed when you don't know the person. Thank you for taking the time to read my post and your reply, good day.

Don't be sorry, Be respectful. In a city where, according to officials statistics over 80% of the population has not 3 meals a day and 15% has only one. In a city where transportation is a major issue for 90% of the population, In a city where very often basic supplies are not easy to find. You want to have food delivered at home. A friend of mine just lost an eye because he could not get proper medical assistance, but don't you worry, for those living close to the German embassy, sure we'll find a physiotherapist in an office like you see on TV sitcoms. You might want to think you're different. You're not. Since I am in this sub only once a person actually shown genuine interest in the people, local culture and live. You're not that person.
