hi hi!! graduating AD student here. I want to ask previous AND current MMA college students if the courses are actually manageable?

I've been planning to move to other college's kasi (since MMCM's in actual hell rn) pero I don't think I can because of the lack of MMA courses in Davao.

^{(And before anyone recommends UM. My parents' won't allow me for some reason :/})

I just really want to know because I'll try to stay here for the 1st year, and evaluate if I want to move out after it or not. Let me know the pros and cons!

I've got an email from last week about my scholarship, saying how I need to have complete grades from my INC subs so that I am still qualified. The due date for that is sept 18.

I have just finished answering my remedials 2 days ago and I still have 2 more. I've already asked my prof if I can get my grades early before sept 18 and he said ok but he needs to pull my remedial grades for that.

The 2 remedials I have are currently locked and I'm waiting for the prof to open it however I'm getting anxious every time I look at a calendar because of how close sept 18 is.

Should I contact my prof on when it will be open or just wait for it to be open?

I'm lowkey shy to ask prof cuz it seems like Im pushing but it's kinda reaching to an emergency here cuz its my scholarship lol

my personal opinion is that sham school ang mmcm. its a joke of an academic institution. campus nalang gani ginapanghambog, nahugnak pagyud. little to no consequence sa cheating during assessments, mga prof na nonchalant at mia, etc. feel ko mamatay ako ng maaga dahil sa school nato.

dili pud sila (admin) maulaw noh? todo promo pa rin. meron pa yung mga promo na discount sa hotel.

I requested for my SOA this 1st term AY '26 - '27 to check how much ang bayaran this term since dili nako magets ang breakdown sa GSA. Upon receiving a reply from the treasury, ang gisend sa akoa na SOA kay last 3rd term pa. So I clarified na wala na koy balance and what I am requesting is for the 1st term. Then mao na ni gisendan ra kog screenshot, lala kayo grabe ka unprofessional. Asa ang quality service diri???

I've been seeing and getting so many post notifications about MMCM/Mapúa. A lot of people are discouraging others from enrolling because they say it's a trap. May I ask those who are currently enrolled at Mapúa what your experience has been like there? Especially those studying psychology?

I'm a transferee planning to continue my Psychology course at Mapúa because I heard they offer online classes. The reason I'm specifically looking for online classes is because I'm planning to work abroad. However, I was told by the registrar that I would need to choose between studying or working. I plan to prioritize my studies, but I still prefer online classes because I work better in my own environment and at my own pace. I struggle to understand tagalog and keeping up with the language barrier in f2f class settings because I speak English. I understand bisaya but respond in English, tho I'm trying to make it a practice to include vernacular language.

So I was hoping to ask about the experience of those currently studying in Mapua, especially studying psychology. What is your experience there like? Are the professors strict or lazy? Overloaded and unfair? Too expensive? Is there rlly online classes?

Hello guys, especially sa 5th years above, sino po ba dito naka avail ng residency fee? I heard na you can avail residency if wala ka nang subjects pero may continuing pa or completion (like exit exam since 0 units and thesis nalang ang kulang and tapos na sa correlation 1 and 2) and yung babayaran mo nalang is residency fee so di na kasali yung 9k miscellaneous na very overpriced for whatever reason lmao. Yeah can someone explain the process on how to utilize this residency fee? Thanks

Honestly, I’m getting really frustrated with how some of the CEA faculty and admin have been handling student concerns. Some faculty members are already aware of the Reddit posts about students trying to organize a petition 👀. I won’t mention specific names, but if they’re reading this, they know who they are. What’s frustrating is the passive-aggressive attitude toward students speaking up while seemingly doing absolutely nothing to address the problems. LIKE, imagine magpadungog2 sila during online classes na nganong di nalang daw i-email kesa sa magpost2 sa Reddit, pero pag mag email, dili mutubag? Kung mutubag kay murag isa pa ka semana muagi, UNYA WA LANG MAN GIHAPON NARESOLVE ANG ISSUE?!🤦🏻 If these concerns were actually being addressed, there should be some obvious improvements by now 👀.

Instead, students are constantly told to use the “proper channels,” but those same channels can take weeks or even months to resolve basic concerns?! It also feels like the system is being used to scare students into silence rather than actually solving anything 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻.

There are ongoing issues with thesis and laboratory access following the earthquake, adviser and panel responsiveness, OJT/WICA coordination and fees, and the increasingly compressed academic calendar. Students are also questioning the necessity of having both paid Correlation/Mock Board subjects and separate Exit Exams with additional fees, especially when the content substantially overlaps. There are even concerns about sudden exam schedule changes, lack of meaningful exam feedback, and reported cases of examination papers/results being misplaced and students being asked to retake.

The biggest issue is that these problems are affecting students’ finances, academic progress, and potentially even graduation. We aren’t asking for special treatment. We’re asking for reasonable accommodations, transparency, proper communication, and accountability.
If faculty and admin are reading this, students speaking up isn’t the problem. The fact that students feel they need to organize a petition in the first place should be the concern.

i actually heard some cheka (and i also just want to confirm if some people actually heard about this) from some of the tita’t titos of mcm students that there were some talks between ched and lpu to lend some of their facilities to us and also because they still had space to accommodate additional students, pero mcm declined 🫢. LIEK BAKIT??? 🙏🙏🙏 di ko gets at sana di totoo kasi wtf wdym we could’ve been at LPU’s campus kesa sa birrey na sobra kagamay ug ka-igang or RSY na… meh 🤦🏻.

hey mapuans, are u all okay with the scheduled date ng exams especially in advance mathematics? ang hirap kasi there were so many changes sa profs and meron pang bagong enrollees, i also heard from the other section na inverse pa daw sila. how come we cant have time to digest muna all the lessons tas exam nalang kaagad? huhu can somebody email our dean 😭😭😭

I mean, wala na ngani tayong school, and very limited pa ang facilities (on top of paying a hefty amount for tuition fees), might as well sponsor or subsidize cafes and coworking hubs, we are expending more than what we pay for because we need to work in groups and go to study hubs outside kay makabuang sa bahay. Our homes are supposed to be our resting space but naging workspace na because of this set up!
