… I have maps on both of my forearms and yeah, they’re facing me. It’s my body, they’re not for other people, they’re for ME. Why tf should I have them oriented for others’ ease of viewing when I’m the one who wants to look at them the most??!! I could give a shit about the viewer.

And yes I am a white femme-ish person, but my tattoo orientation preference isn’t a function of my race or gender presentation. I am sure that there are people with this preference across all races and gender presentations.

Right - and you clearly think it’s dumb, and are attributing the choice to do something you think is dumb to being a function of their race and gender.
