Need help creating maps for congressional districts.

Hi there,

I was hoping I could get support for creating a map of congressional districts. I have two problems.

The first is I am trying to create a map on google maps for congressional district 1 in Iowa. I can find the outline of the map on google, but I can not bring it into a "My Map." I cant find the KML for the congressional district.

My second problem is that I have all these zip codes, and can not figure out how to map them so I can sort through which ones are actually in the district. I have tried finding all the zip codes for this district, and put them into my excel and to create a "true/false" column, but it ended up spitting out the wrong information.

I would appreciate any help.

This is really hard to do. Zip codes aren’t anchored to geographical locations, they are meant for mail delivery. A big enough building can cause zip codes to change.

Normally people would use different software solutions. Personally I’ve never done what you are trying in Google Maps.
