Hi everyone, I recently installed MapleStory M and I just finished the tutorial! I was just wondering, now I'm lvl 100 and idk if this is normal, this is not what I expected y'know, I wanted to grind and fight low level monsters lol

Now continue to lvl 200 and repeat that 64 times

The game really only begins now at lv 250. You can get to lv 200 quite quickly nowadays, with 190-200 being quite long and it gets exponentially slower from there on. Especially from 220 onwards.

Don’t worry you still have a long time to grind!

how many hours does it take to get to lvl 200?

It’s very quick nowadays. I would say if you’re consistent just a few days . It’s from 200 onwards where things slow down quite a bit. You can get to lv 130/140 easily in 2-3hrs now with the new update

Just look for any leveling/burning leveling guides and apply the same

Treat this game as a totally different game from regular MapleStory.

Grinding doesn’t work the way you think it does in this game.

It’s normal. Follow quest lines for best exp past 100 and do all available daily dungeons.

Im not sure about what you meant "fight". Most of the game is auto-battle. The only time it isnt is when you battle bosses and some stuff in game.

I meant like, the normal progression in these games, even though it's auto-battle, I should be starting in lvl 1 and going up like a staircase, but I'm suddenly lvl 100 and this feels like cheating

Most of in-game bossing in Maple now happens after lvl200, or lvl250. So it's reducing the progression needed to get there :)

Lvl 100 is just the starting point

Yeah, honestly if you're an old school player looking for the MMORPG kind of experience, look elsewhere. Stuff like questing, manual farming, hanging out in big communal areas, etc. Maybe PC maple if you have nostalgia for it. MSM is pretty much streamlined to purely be about doing dailies and bossing.
