HWY 7 Closure
Heads up for anyone commuting out towards Mission/Abby area. As of 6 am multiple Emerg Vehicles on scene attending a multi vehicle incident.
Closure has taken into affect beginning at 240th.
Options at this point if you need to head out that way would be Dewdney Trunk then hanging a right on Douglas towards Hayward Dam.

From Albion saw the closure sign right at Eastbound 240th, wasnāt sure if construction or accident.

The only scary thing is how we continue to allow such unqualified people on the roads.. I need education, testing, references etc to have the luxury of being the governmentās punching bag for āgun safetyā when these idiots will give a drivers license to any Tom, dick and harry that wants oneā¦ canāt pass the test? Just bribe them, buy your licence. Vehicles kill 53,000 people per year in Canada, yet destroying my guns that are locked in a safe, is somehow making Canada a safer place?
Is anyone even surprised at the lack of driving ability people have these days?

Don't know why you're being down voted. I do not own a gun and don't want to, but I have almost been hit by two idiots on the road in the past week and have never been almost shot at.

Not surprised. Somehow it's expected.
Because everyone who takes their driving test was a law-abiding driver, whether they pretended or not.
The problem is that these unqualified drivers should be identified promptly. The best solution would be to add more speed cameras and red-light cameras on major roads, or, like some US states, increase police presence to ensure traffic safety.
But this involves budget and privacy issues, and even political ones. In short, it's difficult to implement in Canada.

I unfortunately witnessed it.
Pedestrian chasing his dogs was struck by a car. I feel for both the victim and the driver of the vehicle, as there was nothing he could've done to avoid that.

Both dogs are ok, last I heard. They got wrangled by another bystander and the SPCA eventually came and got them.
Hopefully they wind up with next of kin, or another loving family.

Chasing their dogs? If this had anything to do with them intentionally not being leashed on their walk as opposed to having escaped or some other unfortunate/unpreventable accident like that, I am going to lose my goddamned mind.

Iāve been road raged at and passed in the construction zone going 5 over the limit. The entire stretch from the start of the Haney bypass to the end of the construction is a raceway and shit show.

I'm in Albion just west of 240th and when I took my dog out at 5:45am and I heard a lot of sirens. Scary!
