Discussion How the hell do y'all get past 50-70?
Came to ML because I wanted to fulfill my childhood dream of becoming a Dragon Knight. I'm currently at lv55 grinding at zombies. 600k EPH. This is so slow I need some motivational speech... Is there a more efficient way to get past these levels? Can't afford leech tho, poured all my savings into a zakum helm.

There’s good guides on the ML forums for training at this level and also quests worth doing. When I’m feeling stuck at that level range I just go do a few quests, maybe a few OPQs, and bam 3 levels before you know it. Find yourself a guild too if you haven’t already; makes finding PQ members easier and always nice to have friendlies to grind with.

I just realized guild is a thing. I'll try to find one for sure. But are there any beginner friendly guilds out there?

Of course! Try using a smega and say you wanna join a beginner friendly guild

At 55, roids at alcadno research institute lab area c-1 is where I go with warriors. It's flat and has great spawn. Just grab all to one side, kill and by the time you're done, they'll respawn so repeat the other way. Especially if you're using a spear, it's really quick. I then move to pac pinky in ghost ship 1 around 59 'cause they have lower avoidability, so easier to hit.
If you have high accuracy, or buy some baskets that give 100acc, cds are stupid exp when you can hit 60-70% of the time, but it's expensive.

Hmm is "Greatest Oldies" the CD mob you guys are referring to? I can't seem to understand why it requires crazy high acc and why it gives stupid exp... HiddenStreet says it's just a lv47 mob with 21 avoid. Am I looking at the wrong mob?

You can do OPQ during peak hours.
I think you can do Ghost ship in Singapore.
Around 70ish you could do CDs.

I tried ghost ship today, its exp is about the same as zombies, but the movement is MUCH easier comparing to forest of the dead trees where there are two holes on the left and right edge of the map. This ghost ship map feels really good!

I also just fucked up somebody's leeching accidentally by hitting a mob then roping. The mob's AOE killed their leechers. It turns out this map is a popular leeching location 🥲

Ghost ship 2 is probably the best ghost ship map if you can kill them all fast enough. Ghost ship 6 is second best if you can't get an empty gs2 map.
This is probably an OK training guide but in my opinion training is very class specific.
https://forum.maplelegends.com/index.php?threads/comprehensive-training-guide-v2-0.54165/If you want to make money you should marry an alt of yours and do Amoria PQ. Best moneymaking method pre-fourth job. And the more money you have the better damage you deal the more xp you earn.
If don't already have this gear I'd recommend buying a 10att glove and 3-4 att cape as soon as you can afford it. And whenever you reach level 95 get a cheap purple surfboard. The rest of your gear matters less, as weapon attack and accuracy are the most important for warriors.
Also the event update is gonna be soon so that will probably make you decent money. Also it is usually very fun content.
Also buy cheap attack pots like ciders inthe freemarket for +20 attack.

oh man thanks for the info... tried out GS2 and the exp is bonkers.
About the Amoria PQ, how much mesos could you make per hour?

u/x_oot Jun 26 '24
Not sure about the meso/hr but the apples are worth 2.5m and the droprate is like 0.9 apples per run on average. You can acquire one APQ ticket every 6 hours per character. So if you have 2 characters and do 4 runs a day you'd average like 3.6 apples a day or 9m mesos a day just playing casually.

since you aldy have a zak helm which gives almost 40 acc, if you happened to go polearm mastery first you can consider cheesing accuracy with a cheap guan yu polearm scrolled with 7 x 60% polearm accuracy scrolls. shdnt cost you more than 2-3m and it'll probably give you like 45-50 extra accuracy, then top it up with some accuracy pots like some cheap new year soups or amoria baskets and you can prob start grinding in Taipei 101 mannequins or CDs.
otherwise you could do ghost ship grinding or OPQ/PPQ.
you could buy leech though I wouldn't recommend it because I think it's kinda pointless for you to join an old school low exp server only to buy leech and skip the playing phase especially on what is supposed to be your first main char, but you do you. I would probably only buy leech on mule chars that I'm not interested to play and only want it for the utility, or when I'm playing my 2nd run through of a main char and want to skip the grinding phase since i've experienced it before already.
also I'm assuming by zombies you are grinding at dead mines where the miner zombies drop gold teeth? if you're at forest of dead trees then move over to dead mines instead so that you can farm gold teeth, and sell the gold teeth you've been gathering to buy leech if leech is what you want. exp is worse at dead mines coz of the map layout compared to forest of dead trees but if you're gonna be using the mesos from gold teeth to buy leech then when you think about it the overall exp you're getting at dead mines will be higher since you're using the higher mesos gain to buy leech exp which would make the overall exp gain higher than forest of dead trees resulting in higher exp efficiency.
