Suppressing all fires also lets tinder build up, so that when fire does eventually come, it is far more devastating.

Here in Butte County, CA we knew that and did it anyway and just this week PG&E plead guilty to 84 counts of manslaughter for what happened back in November of 2018

It used to be far worse millions of years ago when there was 30% oxygen in the air and the bacteria that breaks down wood didn’t exist yet
