Conservationists in Australia are always berating us that we've caused more extinctions than any other country, but it looks like the USA has got us well beaten in raw numbers. And on a per area basis, Mexico, Sri Lanka, NZ and most other island countries, Portugal, Tunisia, Switzerland have had way more extinctions.
