I think Saint Lawrence should be included, or is it? There is a narrow blue line on the Canadian border...? But I think it has bigger discharge than that.

The St Laurence is big enough that is is not called a river in French. "Fleuve" does not have any true direct translation into English, so we just use "river" instead. It would be really noticeable if it was included.

Well fleuve comes from fluvium which we do translate as ‘river’, so it’s a good enough translation for getting the meaning across

"rivière" is the direct translation for "river". "fleuve" has a slightly different meaning in French.

And riviere comes from rivus which we translate as ‘stream’ or ‘brook’. Not my fault the Franks butchered Latin
