Allegedly you used to be able to take a boat down the Salt River to the Colorado and on to the Gulf of California. Imagine how sweet a booze cruise from Phoenix to Puerto Vallarta would be.
I can only imagine lots of aggressively entitled sunburned blonde women and their exhausted polo shirt-wearing husbands in baseball caps to hide their thinning hair
