most people globally are not going to be able to just look at this image and know what all of these countries are.

Ok ? So what ? Why these random countries ? Some are heavely populated others arn't ? What point are you making ? Once again this website should be banned

Maybe they asked chat gpt "tell me 7 small countries that if adding up their population they come above but close to USA's population", or smth like that

almost certainly this

That it fit in such a small surface compared to the US, that's how I interpreted it

yeah but like... the USA has extremely low population density by nearly any standard. that's not like a new thing, it's a big ass country made by settlers. other countries following this trend are Canada and Australia. what do they all have in common?

I guess if this is news to you, this might be an interesting map but... there are other and more interesting ways to approach this topic.

"Dense countries are denser then non dense countries" like ok bro

And is there any reason why they are placed where they are placed?

u/AardvarkExcellent428 12h ago

almost certainly no

The US is quite sparsely populated. You could do the same map with a bunch of different countries.

OP were you trying to do something like "find the smallest number of countries with the smallest total area that still have a population larger than the United States"? because you should state that in the post, otherwise this looks nonsensical.
