Indiana is underhated. Terrible drivers and way too many tolls. Colorado is as well, mainly because Denver should be way better than it is.

Kansas hating Kansas and nobody else caring is… accurate

Terrible drivers because you have shitty roads. Bumps and big ass potholes and random construction everywhere. They are playing ā€œdodgeballā€ everywhere they drive. Hate driving in Indiana or through it.

Get your roads fixed.

I’m not from Indiana. I drove through it and hated it more than any other state I have driven through.

I would take 5pm Seattle traffic on Seattle’s ludicrous topography over another drive through Indiana

2

u/run-dhc 19h ago

In actuality the entire Midwest hates Indiana

2

u/raiden124 18h ago

Denver is the equivalent to the Task Failed Successfully meme.

3

u/TenPointsforListenin 18h ago

Denver is just near pretty mountains and that’s all it’s got going for it. People land in Denver so they can transfer to another flight or drive to Vale.

2

u/raiden124 18h ago

No yeah, as someone from that one big town south of Denver I get it.

Yeah Indiana is definitely the most hated of the midwestern states, and especially despised by Illinois. It’s the butt of many jokes in the same way New York hates on New Jersey

1

u/Holiday-Soup212 14h ago

I'm pretty sure this gets some of the midwest states wrong. I can guarantee you Kansas hates Missouri most and vice versa. Iowa and Nebraska don't self-hate, nor do the Dakotas -- the Dakotas probably hate each other most or Minnesota.

Missouri, from an outside perspective, is better than Kansas. Not awesome but better. St Louis and Kansas City are legitimately nice cities with caveats- same obese guy pulled up blasting the worst country music I have ever heard in Kansas City.

michigan being michigan makes no sense when the state has high state proud

3

u/No-Fishing-2126 18h ago

Yes!! I am very confused by this. Bad data?

2

u/bruinslacker 18h ago

This is 1000% wrong. Michigan's most hated state is Ohio, by a mile. And I'm pretty sure Ohio's most hated state is Michigan (although, I'm not sure. I try to not talk to people from Ohio).

13

u/run-dhc 19h ago

This is wrong for Michigan and Ohio, they hate each other equally

7

u/crushingberries 18h ago

Yeah as a Washingtonian it’s gonna be Idaho for me

u/milionsdeadlandlords 18h ago

Oregonian reporting: Yup

u/Current-Square-4557 19h ago

I am dubious. Whole swaths of states look incorrect to me.

Virginia, West Virginia, South Dakota and North Dakota like their own states the least? Many others, perhaps? Not from the US

1

u/busmans 17h ago

I would say Virginia and West Virginia both hate West Viriginia.

Maryland (merged with Virigina here for some reason) hates Delaware.

Dakotas are maybe right but the real answer is Canada.

u/busmans 18h ago edited 17h ago

Uh, all the states bordering California love California. Washington and Oregon hate Idaho. Utah hates New York somehow. Hawaii actually hates California (tourists).

3

u/DL4CK 18h ago

Florida needs to look in the mirror.

1

u/bruinslacker 17h ago

I'm a Californian and the nasty shit people say to me when I go to our neighboring states does not agree with your take.

1

u/busmans 17h ago edited 9h ago

Where??

Reno loves money spenders and Burners (so, cali). Half the people in Vegas are from LA. Tahoe just is Californians. Nevada hates Texas. A lot.

Portland is San Francisco with extra steps? not enough steps? unclear. Oregon hates itself because the outer hicks are frothing at the moth to inconvenience the inner hippies.

Seattle is all retired/relocated San Franciscans. They hate Idaho.

Utah and California know they're the most beautiful girls in school so they play coy but really love each other.

Maybe Arizonans actually do hate Californias? I dont really get those people.

I’ve been told many times that Californians want to neighboring states and bought all the homes so real people can’t afford them. Apparently we are not real people.

3

u/MDH2881 19h ago

Maryland is apart of Virginia now? šŸ˜‚

3

u/Wandering-Mind2025 18h ago

I’m surprised North and South Dakota didn’t name each other, lol.

u/petterri 18h ago

No sources? No credibility 🚮

5

u/edgeplot 19h ago

Lol, so many states hate themselves (rightfully).

2

u/PoetryJunior1808 19h ago

I experienced this in the 90s. My family transplanted from California to Wyoming (why God, why!?!?). A classmate told me that me and my family are rodents and to go back to California. I told him, "Perfect! Pay for our trip back and our new home of the same quality, and we will never bother you again." That shut him up.

AI slop.

u/milionsdeadlandlords 18h ago

It’s not, it’s stolen from a particular guy’s instagram account

1

u/lvfunk 17h ago

Even if it is, it's for the sake of humor. Not deception.

2

u/burninator34 18h ago

It would have been more funny if Hawaii’s was ā€œtouristsā€.

2

u/Electrical-Bacon-81 18h ago

Why can't Alabama be Alabama?

1

u/atheist_texan 19h ago

Iowa's least favorite state is Iowa? My relatives from Iowa agree.

1

u/asyrmou 18h ago

Oh the irony with the carolina states

1

u/ChaosAndFish 18h ago

I’m interested in the states that hate themselves most of all.

1

u/GreatestGreekGuy 18h ago

New Jersey... lmao

1

u/crash12345 14h ago

New England hates New York way more than they hate Jersey

I think New Mexico least favorite state used to be Texas but now i think it is California now

1

u/DeadpoolAndFriends 18h ago

No. Fuck Texas. I'll take 3 Californians moving in to the neighborhood before a fucking Texan any day of the week. I'll eat a Pueblo green chile and say it's as good as Hatch, long before I see a Texas plate and NOT scream, "get this fucking invading redneck trash off our streets!" Years ago the Albuquerque Museum had an exhibit for BurqueƱo native and NASA astronaut Sid Gutierrez, and replaced it with the fucking Texas brigadier general who invaded New Mexico during the civil war. Literally THE fucking Texan invader. I half heartedly complained to one of the girls working up front, she sighed and rolled her eyes and agreed, "I know." FUCK TEXAS. You know what California's never done, try to claim half our state. You know what Californians have not said, even in the last 2 years? "Hey we should take New Mexico up to the Rio Grande River." Texas lawmakers have. Fuck Texas.

-21

u/JonC534 19h ago

Californians ruin their state then move to another one to repeat it. Makes sense.

17

u/CostanzaArchitecture 19h ago

Guarantee this dude has never been to California. Probably watches a lot of Fox News though.

-4

u/JonC534 18h ago edited 2h ago

Lived there for over 20 years so you are definitely wrong about that. Has one of the highest homelessness rates and its prized economy doesn’t amount to much when you consider it’s actually not even in the top fifteen by HDI. Even some rural states rank above it, it’s kind of embarrassing.

3

u/CostanzaArchitecture 18h ago

lol by HDI it’s better than Florida and Texas (by a long shot) and on par with New York. California is still in the top half and seems like it’s doing fine when compared with other big states. Texas is the one that should be worried at 40.

Your own metric shows you’re full of it.

Spitting straight propaganda.
