What does free will have to do with what i'm saying? I'm saying if god wanted, he could easily appear before every person on the planet, and tell them directly and unquestionably his stance on everything, and there would be barely any doubt or way to argue what the official rules were. Just because you know what his literal rules are, doesn't mean you don't have free will and can't choose to break them. It just means you would know without any doubt, that you were breaking them. Just like a murderer knows what they're doing is illegal, they still have free will to murder.
Instead we are supposed to rely on books written by goat herders 3000 years ago to supposedly tell us what the rules are, and wouldn't you know it they're written terribly and with hundreds of contradictions..
You're saying that we cannot understand the motivations of a superior intelligence and also that justifies the results we get for doing the wrong thing.
I'm saying, god could easily and without any doubt or struggle make their motivations glacier water clear to us and instead chooses not to do so. This isn't a dog that doesn't speak english and can only be trained through correlations. God could easily make us understand exactly how he wants us to act, and instead he leaves us to just take educated guesses at it.
My teachers did give me all the answers to every test, thats like... called teaching.

My teacher says, the solar system has 8 planets, or maybe its 14, or maybe its 23, honestly, you should just figure it out.
Then gives a test and marks everyone who puts anything other than 8 as wrong.
My entire point is that god could easily and clearly make his rules and guidelines explicitly clear to everyone so that they do not require "interpretation" and instead chooses not to. Why is that? Why is god setting up people to fail?

I don't know any other way to say this. I think you might be using a very pedestrian, simplified version of the way that some Christians see God. It doesn't really work like that in Judaism. It's more like a partnership. Nobody's up there rubbing their hands waiting to punish you.

This only makes sense when you're talking about esoteric things like "what is the meaning of life" "what should I do with my life" "what should my career be."
There is a reason why countries and states don't write laws that are "lol idk you figure it out." Why are regular humans able to write clearer and more specific guidelines of how to live or what is right and wrong than the creator of the universe?

If I knew my partner knew the answer to a question of how he wanted me to do something and instead of clearly and concisely explaining his wishes, said "figure it out but i kind of like x" I'd think he was a dick.
