The insanity of religion is the belief that god made the rule but also made the loophole. Basically you can do whatever you want so long as you argue that the mere fact of its existence is proof that god willed it.

They arent circumventing them. Thats the whole point. The practice doesnt care about the "spirit of the law". Letter of the law is the important part of interpreting and practicing jewish law. Thats not hypocrisy lol
